MAH CET 2018 Question Paper, Response Key, Analysis and Cut off

MAH-CET 2018 exam Analysis reveals that it is a high scoring exam without any negative marking. Overall MAHCET 2018 exam remains in the same format as that of last year with a mix of easy and difficult questions.   • Logical Reasoning was the toughest and Abstract Reasoning was the easiest section in MAH CET 2018
  • The RC passages were short but were followed by a number of questions including questions like synonyms, antonyms as used in the passage. The level of difficulty was moderate but the options were close and time was short.

  • The questions on ‘Statement not contributing to the main idea of passage’ and ‘Select the correct/inaccurate statements’ were easy but time-consuming.

Response Key for MAH CET 2018

MAHCET 2018 Response Key will be accessible online after the exam. The response key will be available for 4 subjects viz Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. The official response keys will be published at dtemaharashtra.gov.in, so students can calculate the response in their own way.   1. Visit the official website i.e. dtemaharashtra.gov.in
  2. Enter the need credentials i.e. Application ID and Password.
  3. Then, click on submit button. MAHCET 2018 Response Key will be displayed.
  4. Download the Response key and match response with your response.
  5. Take a print out for future reference.

Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension

This section generally includes of questions from Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension. Following are the major areas from which questions have been asked this year:

  4. Fill in the blanks
  5. Vocabulary
  6. Mark the Mistake
  7. Word Arrangement
  8. Odd man out

Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation

In earlier years the CET exam used to have around 20-25 questions on QA. This year, in all the slots, QA questions were dominated by: However, the number of questions in QA in the various slots of last year's MAHCET was around 40-45.

  1. Arithmetic (Averages, Ratio-Proportion, Time and Work, Time-Speed-Distance).
  2. Functions and maxima-minima
  3. Remainder theorem
  4. Probability and Permutation and Combination (mainly Fundamental Principle of Counting).
  5. Algebra
  6. Geometry
  7. Modern Math

Logical Reasoning and Visual Reasoning

There are generally around 40-45 questions on LR and about 25 Questions on Visual Reasoning in the different slots of the exam.This year, a majority of the questions were based on:

  1. Cubes,
  2. Analogy,
  3. Paper Folding/Cutting,
  4. Complete the given format (Matrix type)
  5. Placement of given dots (this uses the concept of Venn diagram),
  6. The mirror image of the given set (set includes of Numbers and letters),
  7. Forming groups of figures (12 figures),
  8. Finding similar objects as the given figure in the options,
  9. Finding an option that has the format of the main figure, a Rule-based odd man out etc.
  10. Input-Output tracing. A set of 8 questions were on selection criteria.
