KVPY 2018 (Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana 2018) is a national level examination organizeed by the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. KVPY 2018 is organizeed to offer scholarship up to pre-Ph.D level to the selected aspirants.
KVPY 2018 Results are expected to be out by the first week of December 2018. Selection Procedure i.e. the interview round is going to be held in the third week of January 2018. Final selection will be based on the aptitude test & individual interview organizeed by IISc.

IISC will issue the official notification to fill KVPY 2018 Application Form in the second week of July 2018. KVPY 2018 Examination will be organizeed in the first week of November 2018. Hall Ticket will be available from the second week of October 2018. The last date of submitting the application form will be the second week of August 2018.

Before applying for KVPY 2018 Exam, all aspirants must be aware of the eligibility criteria set by the organizing body. It is mandatory for all the aspirant to meet the eligibility criteria to apply for the application form. After completing, the eligibility criteria participant can apply for the application form.
Here are the Eligibility Criteria for KVPY 2018: -
• The aspirant must be a citizen of India.
For SA Stream:
• Aspirants pursuing in Class XI (Science stream) can apply in this stream.
• Aspirants must have passed class X with Mathematics & Science subjects.
• An aspirant must have secured an at least of 80% marks in aggregate (70% marks for SC/ST/PWD).
For SX Stream:
• Aspirants, those have studied in class XII (Science Stream) can apply in this stream.
• The aspirant must have passed the above-mentioned class with Mathematics & Science subjects (PCB).
• Aspirants have to score an at least of 60% marks in aggregate in Science subjects(PCB) in Class XII (50% for SC/ST/PWD).
• Aspirants must have obtained minimum 80% marks in aggregate in class X (70% marks in case of SC/ST/PWD).
For SB Stream:
• Aspirants who have enrolled in the first year of the Under Graduate programme in Basic Science courses (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics & Biology) leading to B.Sc/BS/B.Math./B.Stat. /MS/Int. M.Sc can apply for this exam.
• Aspirants must have minimum 60% marks in aggregate in 10+2 examination (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PWD category).
• Aspirants also have to pass their first year of graduation final examination & secure minimum 60% marks (50% marks for SC/ST/PWD).
The application procedure for KVPY 2018 will start in the second week of July 2018. KVPY 2018 Registration can be done via online method only. Aspirants required to have a working mobile number and an email ID. Aspirants will receive his/her username and password through email.
They must also have scanned images of their passport size photograph, signature and caste/medical certificates before filling KVPY Application Form. Participants are advised to take a printout of their finished application right after they have finished the application procedure.

The KVPY 2018 application fee for General/OBC aspirants is INR 1000 while for SC/ST/PWD aspirants it is INR 500. The application fee can be paid through Credit Card/Debit Card or via Net Banking. The Fee once paid is non-refundable under any circumstances. An e-Challan can also be downloaded from the official website of KVPY 2018.
Aspirants will have to download their KVPY 2018 Admit card from the official website in the second week of October 2018. To download the Admit card, aspirants required to enter his/her username and password. Admit card will contain the name of the aspirant, roll number, exam centre venue, exam date & time, category, etc.
The aspirant should keep their Admit card with them during the examination along with the photo identity card as identity proof of the aspirant so that they won’t face any problem while giving the exam.
Steps to download the KVPY 2018 Admit card are given below: -
Aspirants will have to submit their choice for the exam centre while filling the application form of KVPY 2018. IISC will allow the test centre based on the preference of aspirants and availability of test centres. Once the centre is allotted it will not be changed.

IISC will organize KVPY 2018 Exam in online or offline mode. The question paper will be in both English & Hindi language. KVPY 2018 question paper is divided into two parts: The question paper will be of 100 marks. The question paper will be of the objective type and the total time period is 180 minutes.
In PART I, one mark will be honoured for every accurate response while 0.25 marks will be deducted for each inaccurate response. In PART II, two marks will be given for each accurate response while 0.5 marks will be deducted for each wrong response.

Aspirants are tested based on his/her understanding and analytical ability. /Int.M.Sc./M.S. as eligible. Questions are asked from the syllabus of Class X/XII/First year of B.Sc/B.Math. Students are advised to prepare these sections thoroughly. Candidates can also exercise the earlier year’s question papers to get an idea about the kind of questions asked.
Results of KVPY 2018 will be released by IISC in the first week of December 2018 via online mode. Aspirants will be shortlisted for further selection procedure after the declaration of result.
Steps to check KVPY 2018 Result are given below: -
IISC will publish separate merit list for every stream separately based on the aspirants’ performance in the written test. Merit List will be available category-wise, mentioning names and application numbers of qualifying aspirants. The shortlisted aspirants in the written exam will be shortlisted for KVPY 2018 Selection Procedure. Aspirants will be informed and will be called for the interview round. Ranking of the merit list will be in the descending order of total marks scored in the written exam.
The cutoff list will be published by the Indian Institute of Science after the result declaration. KVPY 2018 cut-off will be announced via online mode. The qualifying marks to complete the KVPY exam is given below:
