Karnataka Common Entrance Test or KCET 2019 is an annual state-level entrance exam conducted by Karnataka Admissions Authority (KEA) for admission to undergraduate programs in various branches such as Engineering, Architecture, Pharmacy, Indian System of Medicine & Homeopathy, Medical & Dental, and Farm Sciences in Government / University / Private Aided / Private Un-Aided Professional Educational Institutions in the State of Karnataka for the academic year 2019- 20.
KCET 2019 Exam Dates are yet to be released by KEA, however, the salient features of the exam have been listed below:

KCET 2019 Application Form has to be filled online and will be available for reach on the official website by January 2019. Participants are advised to cautiously read the instructions prior to filling the Application Form. Application procedure should be finished well before the deadline in order to avoid last minute rush.

It is very important to note that if any of the information furnished in the online application form is establish to be false or incorrect, the candidature is liable to be rejected and the fee paid shall be forfeited.
Participants claiming reservation should current the supporting documents during document verification without fail.
KCET 2019 Application Fee can be paid through offline method only. Participants required to download and print the bank challan (in triplicate) from the official website and deposit the requisite amount with any of the designated Bank disciplines or e-Post Offices.
Once the fee is paid, the bank/post office would stamp the payment details on two of the challan copies which the participant needs to retain for further use. Aspirants residing out of India required remitting the fee through Demand Draft drawn in favor of ‘Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority’ payable at Bangalore.

Aspirants who have submitted the online application form clear in all respects will be able to download their KCET 2019 Hall Ticket from the official website prior to the scheduled exam date. Please note that aspirants not carrying a valid ID card allowed by KEA, will not be allowed to take the test. KCET exams are organized in about 54 centers across Karnataka. However, they required selecting a center situated in the same district from where they have qualified 10+2 or equivalent examination. Aspirants can name their preferred test center in the online application form. Aspirants who want reservation under Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga eligibility clauses should choose a test center at Bangalore only.

KCET 2019 is a pen-paper based test with OMR answer sheet. Each question carries a score of 1 mark and there will be no negative marking for inaccurate responses in KCET 2019. The examination will be held for 2-days in a row, split into 4-sessions, one each for Mathematics, Biology, Physics, and Chemistry.The paper will consist of 60 objective-type questions need to be finished in 80 minutes.

Aspirants who want reservation under Horanadu & Gadinadu Kannadiga clauses will have to appear for a Kannada Language Test, in which the cut-off score is 12 out of 50 marks.

KCET Result 2019
KCET 2019 Merit list will be announced soon after results are made available on the official website. The merit list is prepared on the basis of aspirant’s KCET 2019 score and percentage of marks secured in the qualifying examination. The Merit list is the deciding factor whether an aspirant will be able to attend the counselling procedure or not. KCET 2019 Counseling is expected to commence in June 2019. Document verification is an extremely important part of the Counselling procedure. Aspirants are advised to carry all relevant document in original as well as photocopies to current for verification. Aspirants that meet the cutoff score will be invited for the counselling procedure on the basis of their merit ranking in KCET 2019.

KCET 2019 Reservation Criteria
KCET 2019 Seat Reservation will be eligible for SC, ST, OBC aspirants. Aspirants of Karnataka origin only can claim reservation for Government seats, under the following categories: NCC, Sports, Scouts and Guides, Defence, Ex-defence, PWD, Central Armed Police Force, and Ex-Central Armed Police Force.
Wards of Ex-Central Armed Police will be allotted seats on the basis of merit only.
