JKCET 2018 Exam Pattern and Syllabus

JKCET 2018 is scheduled to be held in the second week of May 2018 while Results will be released by the last week of May 2018. Aspirants who will qualify JKCET 2018 will be applicable to appear in JKCET 2018 Counseling procedure.

  • All the questions will carry one mark each while 0.25 marks will be deducted on account of every inaccurate answer.
  • Part A questions paper will have 120 questions from Physics and Chemistry.
  • JKCET 2018 question paper will have 180 multiple choice questions.
  • Aspirants will have 120 minutes to response Part A while Part B/Part C can be attempted within 60 minutes.
  • Part B will have 60 questions from Biology and Part C will have 60 questions from Mathematics.
  • JKCET 2018 consists of two papers each for PCB and PCM group
  • JKCET 2018 will be Pen and Paper based test.

Jammu & Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) is a State level entrance exam organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations(JKBOPEE) for 10+2/HSC aspirants who wish to get admission in Engineering, Pharmacy and Agriculture courses in the different government and private institutions located in the state J&K.

Exam Format of JKCET 2018

JKCET 2018 will be Pen & paper-based test. The question paper will include 60 Multiple Choice Questions per subject with a total of 180 questions. JKCET 2018 examination will consist of two papers - Paper A which is mandatory consists of Physics and Chemistry and Paper B for Biology or Paper C for Mathematics.

The period of JKCET 2018 is 180 minutes. The period of Paper A (Physics & Chemistry) is 120 minutes while Paper B/Paper C will be 60 minutes hour.  JKCET 2018 Exam Format is based on the syllabus of 10+2 prescribed by Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination. Before appearing in any stage of JKCET, aspirants must go via JKCET 2018 Exam Format.

Marking Scheme for JKCET 2018

JKCET 2018 question paper will consist of a total of 180 marks. One marks will be honored to the aspirant for each right response while 0.25 mark will be deducted from his score for each wrong response. Each paper will carry 60 marks each.

JKCET 2018 Important Instructions

These are some important instructions for JKCET 2018 Exam that aspirants should follow.

  • Aspirants are advised to bring a valid Photo Identity card(in original) along with their printout of JKCET 2018 Hall Ticket on the day of examination.
  • No aspirant will be allowed to enter the examination center/hall after the commencement of examination.
  • The aspirant should neither talk to each other nor discuss any matter during the examination.
  • Aspirants should not indulge in any argument with the examiners or other staff involved in the examination duty at the examination center. The aspirants, who will not follow the instructions, will be treated as Unfair Means and his/her result will not be declared.
  • The aspirant should follow the instructions given by the examiners in the examination room
  • No aspirant will be allowed to appear at the examination center other than that allotted to him/her in the Hall Ticket.
  • No aspirant will be allowed to appear in the examination whose Admit Card is not allocated by the JKPOBEE.
  • Aspirants are not permitted to carry any electronic device and study material at examination hall like (Mobile, Bluetooth, Pager, watch, test series, books, model papers, etc.)
  • Any kind of tampering in the OMR Sheet may lead to the direct disqualification. 
  • The judgment of JKPOBEE shall be final in all matters.
  • The aspirant should not disturb other aspirants in the examination room and maintain clear silence during the examination.
  • After the examiner has verified JKCET 2018 Hall Ticket of the aspirant, he must sign on the attendance sheet in the presence of the examiner and mention the admit card number also.
  • Do not deface, distort, mutilate or damage the OMR Sheet. It should be kept in the excellent conditions.
