Jharkhand Engineering Entrance Competitive Examination (JEECE) 2019

JEECE 2019 or Jharkhand Engineering Entrance Competitive Examination is an annual state-level undergraduate engineering entrance exam organized by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam Board (JCECEB). The official notification for JEECE 2019 will be announced by JCECEB in due course. Tech/B. E. Participants who qualify JEECE 2019 can seek admission to B. In this article, we discuss the salient features of the entrance test, on the basis of past trends: programs in different colleges in Jharkhand.

  • JEECE is an offline, paper-based exam comprising of 150 objective-type bilingual questions (English and Hindi) that obligations to be finished in 3 hours. Check JEECE Exam Format
  • JEECE 2019 is expected to be held in May 2019.
  • JEECE Application Form 2019 will be available tentatively in April 2019 on the official website, www.jceceb.nic.in
  • Each accurate response carries +1 mark while for every inaccurate response, 0.25 mark is deducted. Questions not attempted are not evaluated.
  • Application Fee for JEECE 2019 is expected to be INR 900 (INR 450 for reserved categories and female aspirants).
  • Aspirants can download their respective JEECE Hall Ticket one or two weeks prior to the exam.
  • An at least aggregate score of 45% (40% for reserved category aspirants) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent examination is needed to be applicable to apply for JEECE 2019.
  • Participants also obligatory to be permanent residents of Jharkhand to be able to apply for the entrance test.

Eligibility Criteria for JEECE 2019

The eligibility conditions of JEECE 2019 are listed below. Participants are advised to study the conditions cautiously before applying for the entrance test.

  • No upper age limit is specified by JCECEB for participants of JEECE. However, the at least age need to apply for the same is 17 years.
  • Participants should have secured minimum 45% of the aggregate score (40% for reserved categories) in the qualifying exam.
  • Participants obligatory to undergo a medical examination, conducted by JCECEB for being considered applicable for admission into B.E. / B. Tech programs under JEECE 2019.
  • Participants must have finished 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognised Board/University, with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects. Participants appearing for the qualifying exam are also applicable to apply for JEECE 2019
  • Participants must be Indian citizens and either local or permanent residents of the state of Jharkhand. Residential Certificate in suitable pattern allotted by the competent authority has to be presented in original as proof at the time of counseling.

Application Form for JEECE 2019

JEECE 2019 Application Form will be available in the online method at the official website. The steps involved in the application procedure is elaborated below: The Application Forms are expected to be available in April 2019. There are no means of applying for the entrance test in the offline method.

  1. Visit the official website of JEECE 2019 www.jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in”.
  2. Click on the ‘Online Application’ Link.
  3. Register with details like Participant’s Name, Date of Birth, Email ID.
  4. A registration Number and Password will be auto-generated upon completion of the registration procedure.
  5. Proceed to login with the auto-generated registration number and password and clear filling the JEECE 2019 Application form with all the need details.
  6. Upload scanned images of participants’ recent passport-size color photograph, specimen signature, and left-thumb impression. All images should be in .jpeg pattern and the file size of participants’ photograph should not be more than 100 KB while the specimen signature and thumb impression should be within 50KB each.
  7. Participants can now make the application fee payment online via the integrated payment gateway using either Net Banking or Credit/Debit Cards.
  8. Preview the filled-in Application Form and check for any errors in the details before submitting the same finally. Participants are advised to obtain prints of the finished Application Form for future references.

Please note that participants obligatory not send hard copies of the finished application form to JCECEB after successfully submitting the same online.

JEECE Application Fee 2019

The expected application fee for JCEECE 2019, based on earlier year’s trend, is expected to be INR 900 (INR 450 for SC/ST aspirants and female aspirants). The fee details are tabulated below for better understanding:

JEECE Hall Ticket 2019

Participants who have submitted the Online Application Form clear in all respects along with the requisite fees will be allotted the JEECE 2019 Hall Ticket. The same has to be downloaded from the official website. Please note that there are no other means of reaching the document other than downloading from the website.

JEECE 2019 Hall Ticket will be available online, a couple of weeks prior to the scheduled exam date. Aspirants obligatory to carry the Hall Ticket along with a valid photo ID proof in person to appear on the entrance exam. will be printed on the Hall Ticket. Details like Participant’s name, Registration Number, Photograph, Date of Birth, Exam Venue, Exam Date, and Timings, etc.

The steps involved in downloading JEECE 2019 Hall Ticket:

  1. Visit the official website
  2. Click on the ‘JEECE 2019 Hall Ticket’ tab.
  3. Enter login credentials.
  4. JEECE Hall Ticket 2019 will be displayed on-screen.
  5. Download, save and obtain multiple prints of the document for future use.

Please note that:

  • Aspirants are advised to safely keep their hall ticket till the admission procedure is clear.
  • In case of any discrepancy printed on JEECE Hall Ticket, aspirants should immediately contact the officials at JCECEB.

Exam Centers for JEECE 2019

Participants can, during the application procedure, select their choice of exam center. The issued of exam center is done by the JCECEB on the basis of aspirants’ preferences. However, the authority’s judgment in this regard is final and binding on all.

Exam Format for JEECE 2019

JEECE 2019 will be organized in the offline method in both English and Hindi language. Each subject will pose 50 objective-type questions, and aspirants will be issued 2 hours and 1 hour to clear Paper I and Paper II respectively. There would be 3 sections in the exam: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics wherein the first two subjects will include Paper I and the 3rd subject will be covered in Paper II. Questions asked would be of the intermediate level.

Aspirants will have to mark their responses in OMR Answer sheets. Unattended questions will not be evaluated. Each accurate response would be honored +1 mark while each inaccurate response will attract a penalty of -0.25 mark.

JEECE 2019 Syllabus and Advisable Books

JEECE 2019 Syllabus includes three subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, each subject carrying equal weight of questions. The scope of the subjects will be that of CBSE Class 12 syllabus.

JEECE Result 2019

JEECE 2019 Result is expected to be declared by JCECEB in May 2019. The steps involved in downloading the JEECE 2019 Results are: The result can be reached and downloaded from the official website of JEECE.

  1. Visit the official website of JCECEB, www.jceceb.nic.in.
  2. Click the ‘JEECE 2019 Result’ tab.
  3. Enter login credentials.
  4. JEECE 2019 Result will be displayed on-screen.
  5. Download, save and obtain prints of the scorecard for further process.

Please note that there is no provision for rechecking/re-evaluation of the response sheet under any circumstances.

JEECE Merit List 2019

On the basis of aspirants’ performance in JEECE 2019, a combined merit list, as well as a category-wise merit list, will be published by JCECEB. The merit lists will be used for seat allocation for admissions.

JCECEB has a pre-determined tie-breaking sequence for instances when two or more aspirants secure the same ranking in the merit list:

  1. The aspirant with the higher score in Mathematics gets preference. In case the tie persists, then,
  2. An aspirant with higher Physics score gets preference. In case the tie persists, then,
  3. If the tie isn’t resolved then, the older aspirant gets preference.
  4. If the tie is still not resolved, then, the name that is high up as per English alphabetical order, gets preference.

JEECE Cut Off 2019

JEECE 2019 Cut off score is announced on the official website post-results as per aspirant category. The cut-off score acts as the decisive factor in the context of an aspirant’s eligibility for admission. The rank list is prepared on the basis of the cut-off scores. The factors that will influence the determination of cut-off scores are:

  • Total number of participants
  • Categories & Reservation
  • Earlier years’ cut-off trend
  • The number of colleges participating in JEECE 2019
  • Total number of seats in the respective colleges
  • Difficulty level of the exam

JEECE Counseling 2019

  • The first round of counseling will start in June 2019 wherein aspirants will be allowed to choose their preferred Institute and stream and allocation made on the basis of merit-cum-choice.
  • Aspirants will have to current all original certificates during the document verification procedure. Inability to current accurate original documents will lead to cancellation of candidature.
  • Aspirants who have issued seats in the first round will be able to reappear for the second round in case they wish to change their stream or institute.
  • JEECE 2019 Counseling is expected to commence in June 2019 and will be organized by JCECEB in 2 consecutive rounds. The counseling will be organized in computerized distributed parallel/online method, the detailed working of which will be available on the website prior to its commencement.
  • Seat Allocation is subject to verification of all compulsory documents in original & prescribed patterns.
  • Aspirants obligatory to pay the counseling fee to participate in the JEECE 2019 Counseling. The counseling fee details are tabulated below:
  • Aspirants will be intimated about the counseling process based on their rank in the merit list.
  • The second round of counseling will be conducted if there are seats left vacant after the first round of counseling. It is expected to start in the 4th week of June 2019.
