JEE Main Registration 2019 Application Form, Exam Dates and Eligibility

JEE Main 2019 is a National level Engineering Entrance Exam for admission into B.E/B.tech and B.Arch Courses. It is organized by CBSE every year. JEE Main score is accepted by NITs, IIITs and CFTIs

  • JEE Main 2019 Application Form will be available online on the official website of CBSE in the month of December.
  • JEE Main Result will be declared online on the official website of CBSE in the month of April 2019.
  • JEE Main 2019 will include 2 papers- Paper1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 for aspirants wants admission to B.Tech/B.E. programs, while Paper 2 is organized for those who wish to pursue architecture and concerned fields.
  • The basic eligibility for JEE Main is a pass certificate in class 12 in science stream with at least 45% aggregate marks.
  • It is compulsory for aspirants to carry Aadhar Card to the exam centers at the time of examination.
  • For Paper 2, the subjects comprise Aptitude, Mathematics, and Drawing. This paper is organized in offline method only.
  • Top 2 lakh rank holders in JEE Main are applicable to appear for next phase i.e. JEE Advanced
  • JEE Main 2019 will be organized in April 2019 in both pen-paper and computer-based pattern
  • JEE Main Syllabus for paper 1 comprises 3 subjects mainly- Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
  • The application procedure for JEE Main 2019 comprises- Registration, Application Form Filling, Uploading Documents and Fee Payment.

Once the results are out, cut off will be declared by Joint Admission Board (JAB) on the basis of All India Rank (AIR). JEE Main Counseling will be organized by JoSAA for which, registration will be performed separately for qualifying aspirants.

Exam Dates for JEE Main 2019

CBSE will announce official notification in November 2018. JEE Main Application Form will be available from December 2019 tentatively. Aspirants can check the expected dates for JEE Main 2019 from the table offered:

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2019

Aspirants who are interested in applying for JEE Main 2019 must check the following eligibility criteria before proceeding towards JEE Main Registration

Age

  • However, relaxation is for reserved and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) aspirants.
  • Only those aspirants whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1994 are applicable.
  • The relaxed upper age limit for the mentioned categories is 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PwD aspirants who are born on or after October 01, 1988 are applicable.

Please note that date of birth recorded in CBSE mark sheets for class 10th or equivalent will be considered.

Educational Qualifications

  • The basic eligibility for JEE Main is a pass certificate in class 12 in science stream with at least 45% aggregate marks.

Number of Attempts

A participant can appear for JEE Main Exam maximum 3 times.

JEE Main Application Form 2019

JEE Main 2019 Application Form will be available from the first week of December 2018. Aspirants can apply online at jeemain.nic.in. The three main steps of filling up JEE Main Application Form are:

  1. Registration
  • Click on submit button
  • The first step is to register on the official website. Visit JEE Main homepage, click on the “Apply for JEE (Main) – 2019”.
  • Enter the asked details such as Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name and State of Eligibility etc.
  • Click on “New Aspirant Registration.

 An application number for JEE Main 2018 will be generated and sent to aspirant’s registered email id.

  1. Filling Application Form
  • After verification, click on ‘Save and Next’ to proceed to the next step.
  • Enter all the need details cautiously and verify them.
  • use the login credentials offered to you and navigate to the application form filling portal.
  1. Uploading Images
  • The signature image should be between 1 kb and 30 kb.
  • Thumb impression should be between 1 kb and 30 kb.
  • Dimension for the photograph: 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (Height) only.
  • After submitting the application form, upload the scanned photograph, signature and thumb impression. The images should be in jpg/jpeg pattern only.
  • Size of the photograph should be between 4 kb and 40 kb.

Note – Documents exceeding the specified sizes will not be uploaded. Use image resizer to fit the specifications.

  1. Application Fee Submission

After uploading the images, aspirants have to remit the application fee online via debit/credit card or Net Banking. The fees differ for online and offline method and category wise

If the aspirant is using Credit Card to remit the fee, 1.20% of the examination fee will be charged additionally along with service tax as eligible.

In case, an aspirant is using your Debit Card, a fee of 0.75% of the examination fee will be charged additionally along with taxes for exam fee up to INR 2000 and 1% + taxes for examination fee more than INR 2000.

An aspirant using SBI Buddy will be charged INR 20/- per transaction plus the service tax as eligible.

Using Paytm will cost 1.50% of the examination fee plus the service tax as eligible

Aspirants can also pay application fee via E-challan. They can download the e-challan generated after the submission of JEE Main 2019online application form.

JEE Main Hall Ticket 2019

Aspirants can download JEE Main 2019 hall ticket from the official website. They have to enter their roll number and password and click on submit button. Note that JEE Main 2019 Hall Ticket will not be sent personally to any participant, as it is available online only.

Steps to download JEE Main 2019 Hall Ticket

  • Click on “Submit” button.
  • Ensure all the details are accurate before taking a print out.
  • Check the hall ticket on your computer screen.
  • Enter JEE Main Application Number, date of birth and security pin in the hall ticket window

Exam Centers for JEE Main 2019

Aspirants can check their exam centers details offered on the Hall Ticket. In case there is an increase in the number of aspirants opting for major metropolitan cities such as Delhi then aspirants are situated centers falling in nearby cities. Please note that a change in exam centers will not be entertained. The JEE Main centers cover major cities across India and abroad.

Aspirants can choose their preferred exam centers while filling JEE Main 2019 Application Form. One can choose up to 3 JEE Main test centers.

Exam Format for JEE Main 2019

JEE Main consists of 2 papers, Paper-1 and Paper-2. Aspirants want admission in BE/B. Tech has to appear for Paper-1, while Paper-2 is organized for B.Arch and B.Plan candidates.

  • Exam period is 3 hours
  • From every section, 30 questions are asked
  • Total 90 questions are asked in paper-1 and there is negative marking of -1.
  • The section wise distribution for paper-1 and Paper-2 is as follows:
  • Paper- 1 consists of 3 sections, namely Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

  • Paper-2 consists of Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing.
  • In paper-2, 82 questions are asked comprising 390 marks.
  • Mathematics and Aptitude section is objective whereas drawing section is Subjective.

JEE Main Result 2019

CBSE will announce JEE Main Result online on the official website in last week of April. After the result declaration, CBSE also announces All India Ranks of qualified aspirants

How to check JEE Main Result 2019?

  • Visit JEE Main 2019 Result portal
  • Enter roll number and date of birth.
  • Click on submit button and you will be redirected to JEE Main result 2019 window.
  • Check your score and ranks and download the Rank Card of JEE Main 2019

JEE Main Rank List 2019 will comprise All India Rank of the aspirant along with the All India Category Rank. Furthermore, JoSAA uses JEE Main AIR for admissions.

Cut Off for JEE Main 2019

CBSE will announce cut off of JEE Main 2019 along with the result. Based on cut off, a merit list will be announced and aspirants will be called for counseling procedure.

  • At Least qualifying marks for completing JEE Main 2019 are expected to be something like this,
  • Cut off is announced considering the factors such as difficulty level, number of aspirants and category of the aspirants

Counseling Procedure of JEE Main 2019

Only those aspirants who will qualify JEE Main 2019 can participate in the counseling session. For this, they have to register online.

  • JoSAA will organize a common counseling for IIITs, NITs, and ISMs
  • For northeastern states, a separated counseling known as CSAB NEUT will be organized.
  • For Self-Financed Technical Institutions admissions, a separate counseling known as CSAB SFTI will be organized
