JEE Main 2018 Exam Notification

entral Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released Joint Entrance Exam Main 2018 (JEE Main 2018) Exam Notification. JEE Main 2018 is the popular engineering entrance exam in India. Interested & Eligible Candidates May apply Online application from December 1, 2017 to January 1, 2018 on the official website. JEE Main 2018 Online Application Form can be filled in 4 steps- Registration, Form Filling, Uploading Documents and Application Fee Payment. candidates are admitted to NITs, CFTIs and other engineering institutions. JEE Main is also the eligibility test for JEE Advanced which offers admission to IITs & ISM.

  • For online registration, go to www.jeemain.nic.in.
  • A candidate must have been born on or after October 1, 1993 to fill JEE Main 2018 Application Form.
  • 5 years relaxation will be given to candidates belonging to reserved categories.
  • The last date to pay JEE Main Application Fee is January 2, 2018.
  • CBSE has mandated Aadhaar number to apply for JEE Main.
  • As per JEE Main 2018 Official Exam Notification, the offline exam will be conducted on April 8, 2018.
  • JEE Main exam dates for online mode will be released shortly.

JEE Main is conducted in 2 papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2. B.Tech/B.E. aspirants will have to apply for Paper 1, while B.Arch aspirants should appear for Paper 2.

JEE Main 2018 Eligibility

  • The foremost requirement to apply for JEE Main 2018 is to possess Aadhar Number
  • It is must for the candidates to pass the 12th examination/qualifying examination with 5 subjects to be eligible for JEE Main 2018.
  • Upper age limit- 24 years i.e. Candidates those born on or after 1st October 1993 are eligible for writing the JEE Main examination.
  • The qualifying examination must be passed/appearing in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
  • Minimum required marks- 75% (65% marks for reserved category candidates)*

*the requirement of minimum 75% marks is set for candidates who wish to take admissions in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, CFTIs

JEE Main 2018 Application Form

All the aspirants must read the information brochure carefully before filling the online application form of JEE Main 2018 to get details about how to apply, application fee & payment mode. The Application Form will be available on the official website of JEE Main i.e. jeemain.nic.in. The last date to fill JEE Main 2018 Application Form is 01 January 2018.

Steps to apply for JEE Main 2018 are:
  • Log on to the official site of JEE Main 2018 i.e. www.jeemain.nic.
  • Click on the link for apply for JEE  Main 2018.
  • Go to online registration and enter details such as name, date of birth, nationality, gender, identification details, etc.
  • Fill JEE Main Application Form with complete details.
  • Upload the required documents- passport size photograph and signatures.
  • Make payment via online or offline mode by January 2, 2018.
  • Finally, download the acknowledgment page for future use.

Application Fee:

Application fee of JEE Mains 2018 will depend upon the gender of candidate, category and exam mode. Candidates can check the application fee from the below table:

Number of Attempts:

Total 3 attempts will be given for clearing the JEE Main. Attempts will be counted from the year 2017 onwards. JEE Advanced can be attempted maximum 2 times in consecutive years.
