JEE Main 2018 B.Tech Admission at Indian Naval Academy Kerala

Indian Navy invites application from unmarried male aspirants for a 4-years degree course under the 10+2 (B. Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala via JEE Main.

  • Participants must score at least 70% marks in class 12 exams.
  • Qualifiers will be shortlisted for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview on the basis of JEE Main 2018 AIR
  • After selection, aspirants will undergo training for which cost will be borne by the academy.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Navy B.Tech

Aspirants who wish to apply for B.Tech admission at Indian Naval Academy must fulfill the following eligibility criteria.

  • Pass certificate in class 12 with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and minimum 50% marks in English (either in Class 10 or Class 12).
  • Age Criteria- Born between 02 Jul 1999 & 01 Jan 2002 (both inclusive).
  • Obtain JEE Main AIR, call up for Service Selection Board (SSB) will be allocated.
  • Following physical standards must be met for possible eligibility
    1. At Least height should be 157 cms and weight will be for concerned as per age.
    2. The aspirant should not be color/night blind.
    3. The at least acceptable vision standards for distant vision is 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses.

Permanent body tattoos are only permitted on inner face of forearms and not on any other part of the body. 

Selection Process on the basis of JEE Main 2018 for Indian Navy B.Tech

  • Two stages in SSB interview are:
  • Shortlisted aspirants will be informed about their SSB interview through E-mail or SMS as details offered by them in their application form.
  • Participants will be shortlisted for Service Selection Board (SSB) interview on the basis of JEE Main 2018 AIR. 
  1. Stage I- group discussion, intelligence test, and picture perception test. 
  2. Stage II- This test will last for four days and consists of psychological testing, group testing, and interview. If aspirants qualify stage II, they will undergo Medical Examination that lasts approx 03-05 days.

The training is scheduled to start in January 2018. The Indian Navy will bear the entire cost of training. Free clothing and mess service will also be offered to the cadets.

  • Create a new account.
  • Fill-in the application form between June 5, 2018 and June 25, 2018 (tentatively).
  • No request will be entertained for changes in uploaded documents after the closing of online application.
  • Following documents (preferably in original) should be scanned and uploaded in PDF form while filling up the application form.- DoB proof, Class 10 mark sheet, Class 12 mark sheet, JEE Main 2018 scorecard, recent color photograph.

Privileges and other benefits

Indian Navy offers mess/club/sports facilities (surfing, rafting etc.), free medical facilities for self & dependents, Furnished Govt. There is also 40% rail exemption and free travel for self and dependents. accommodation, canteen facilities, car/housing loan at subsidized rates, entitled ration.

Officer will be granted an insurance cover of Rs. 75 lakhs (on contribution). There are 20 casual leave and 60 annual leave every year. Leave during training duration will be as per the Training Policy in force.
