JEE 2018 Advanced Information Brochure Published

IIT Kanpur, the organizing institute of JEE Advanced 2018, has announced the official notification on January 26, 2018. With the announce of the information brochure, the institute has also declared the important dates of the events with some changes.

JEE Advanced is held by one of the 7 Zonal Coordinating IITs for admission to Bachelor's, Integrated Master's and Dual Degree programs in Engineering and Architecture programs in IITs. The official website of JEE Advanced 2018 is www.jeeadv.ac.in.

JEE Main 2018

JEE Advanced 2018 is scheduled for May 20 (Sunday). The exam includes 2 papers and both are compulsory to be applicable for the admission rounds.

Modification Introduced in JEE Advanced 2018

  • The reservation for PwD aspirants in each category for admission has been increased to 5% from 3%. 
  • The application fee of JEE Advanced 2018 has been increased for all categories. The increased application fee is offered in the following table:
  • Category-wise distribution of aspirants for seats has been changed for 2018.   
  • JEE Advanced 2018 will be clearly online. The exam will now be computer-based, unlike the earlier years. Check JEE Main Mock Test
  • An additional 4000 aspirants will be able to appear in JEE Advanced 2018 making the total number of applicable aspirants to 2,24,000.

Basic Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advance 2018

All Indian nationals who satisfy the eligibility criteria can appear in JEE Advanced.

Criteria 1: Performance in JEE Main 2018. Only top 2,24,000 AIR holders will be applicable to appear in JEE Advanced exam.

Criteria 2: Age limit: Aspirants should have born on or after October 01, 1993. 5 Years relaxation is given to SC/ST/PwD aspirants.

Criteria 3: Number of Attempts: Maximum of 2 times in 2 consecutive years.

Criteria 4: Appearance in Class 12: Aspirants should have appeared in class 12 for the first time in either 2017 or 2018.
