Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test 2019

IPU CET 2019 (Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test) is an annual state-level entrance test conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) for admission into various Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in the fields of Engineering, Medical, Dental, Law, and Management etc. IPU CET 2019 is tentatively scheduled for the month of April 2019 and will be organizeed on several days for various programs.

IPU CET Application Form 2019 will announce in the last week of January 2019, the application fee for which is expected to be INR 1000 for all aspirants. As per IPU CET Eligibility Criteria 2019 for undergraduate courses, aspirants must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board.

IPU CET 2019 is an offline paper-based test posing 150 objective-type questions to be finished in 150 minutes. As per IPU CET Exam Format 2019, 4 marks will be honoured for every accurate response while 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong response. Aspirants can avail IPU CET Hall Ticket 2019 2 days prior to IPU CET 2019 exam.

Important Dates of IPU CET 2019 

IPU CET 2019 is tentatively scheduled for the month of April, 201. The entrance test is held separately for various branches. Interested aspirants are advised to visit the official website from time-to-time for further updates. The tentative schedule of IPU CET 2019 is tabulated below. IPU CET Registration 2019 is expected to start in January 2019.

Eligibility Criteria of IPU CET 2019

IPU CET 2019 is the gateway for admission to a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs in various branches under GGSIPU and therefore, each program has various eligibility criteria. However, few basic criteria must be fulfilled by the participants in order to be applicable for the test apart from the program-specific conditions:

  • Under Graduate Program participants’ age should be 17 – 21 years old.
  • SC/ST/PWD aspirants along with widows/defence personnel are given a relaxation of 5% marks.
  • Participants for Under Graduate programs should have completed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised Board/University with at least 55% marks.
  • MBBS/BDS participants should not be beyond 25 years of age.
  • Participants for Post Graduate programs should have completed an at least 3-years Bachelor’s Degree program from a recognised Board/University with at least 60% marks.
  • Maximum Age-limit for postgraduate programs is 35 years.
  • Bachelor of Vocation participants should not be beyond 45 years of age

Application Form of IPU CET 2019

IPU CET 2019 Application Form will be available online at the official website i.e. www.ipu.ac.in, tentatively in the last week of January 2019.Aspirants, first have to register themselves by entering basic details such as participant’s name, contact details, gender, email address, DOB, course you wish to apply for etc. Participants can select multiple courses under the same category in a single Application Form. However, to select multiple courses across the categories, participants required to fill separate IPU CET Application Form 2019 under separate registration.

Participants should cautiously read the instructions before starting IPU CET Application Procedure 2019. Follow these steps to fill IPU CET Application Form 2019.

  • Enter individual and academic details.
  • On your registered email id, a system generated log in id and password will be sent.
  • Select the course and test centre.
  • Check all the details and click on ‘submit’.
  • Visit the official website of IP University i.e. www.ipu.ac.in
  • Once, IPU CET Application Form 2019 is submitted, no changes in the information offered can be made.
  • Click the tab “IPU CET 2019 Registration”.
  • Upload scanned copy of participant photograph, signature and left thumb impression in .JPG/.JPEG/.GIF pattern and of file size less than 80 kb.
  • Pay the application fee of INR 1000, thereafter and save the application form.

The need application fee required to be paid through Net Banking/Credit or Debit Cards. The Application fee for each course chosen in the Form is INR 1000 personally. The participant would be guided to the Payment Gateway for completing the transaction.

Hall Ticket of IPU CET 2019

IPU CET Hall Ticket 2019 will be available online for downloading from www.ipu.ac.in, minimum 2 weeks prior to the scheduled exam date. No hall ticket will be delivered to aspirants through post or courier services. In order to download IPU CET Hall Ticket 2019, participants required should follow these steps:

  • Once the document is displayed on the screen, aspirants can take print out of the same.
  • Log in to the website and enter the need credentials.
  • Click on ‘Download Hall Ticket’ tab.

Participants are advised to carry in person one Government approved Photo ID along with the Hall Ticket to IPU CET Exam Center 2019 on the exam date. Participants not carrying appropriate Photo IDs will not be allowed to appear for the test.

Exam Center of IPU CET 2019 

IPU CET 2019 is expected to be held in over 9 test centres. For all other courses, IPU CET 2019 test centres are situated in Delhi. Other IPU Test Centers situated by the IP University have been listed below. B. Tech, MCA and MBA participants get the liberty to choose between test centres at the time of application procedure.

Exam Format of IPU CET 2019

IPU CET 2019 is expected to be held in the third week of April 2019 onwards in a pen-paper based mode. IPU CET Exam Format 2019 differs for each branch and program.  The question paper is either objective or subjective depending on the type of course. The basic marking scheme of IPU CET 2019 is mentioned below.

  • Total number of questions asked in IPU CET 2019 is 150 while in case of Bio-Technology CET, number of questions is 200.
  • The time period for IPU CET 2019 is 150 minutes; in case of Bio-Technology CET 180 minutes are allotted to clear the test.
  • Total marks for IPU CET 2019 is 600 (except for MBBS, PGMC, and SSMC exam).
  • Every accurate response is honoured 4 marks.
  • Every wrong response will attract a penalty of 1 mark.
  • There will be no negative marking in case of MBBS, PGMC, SSMC, DM, and MCH exams.

Result of IPU CET 2019 

IPU CET Result 2019 will be published online on the university website tentatively around the last week of May, 2019. Aspirants can log in with their UID and Password to reach their scores. Results are published on the basis of IPU CET Cut OFF list.

Aspirants can check their IPU CET Result 2019 by following these steps:

  • Click on ‘Submit’ button. 
  • IPU CET 2019 Result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Enter a course name, roll number and password.
  • Visit the official website.
  • Click on the link ‘Result’ link.

IPU CET 2019: Cut-off

The cut-off is the at least qualifying marks need to secure admission to a specific program. GGSIPU declares IPU CET Cut-Off on its website, before publishing the test results. The cut-off score sets a benchmark for selection of participants for the counseling procedure. Several factors as mentioned here are factored in, to arrive at the cut-off score:

  • Scoring System
  • Seats Available
  • Difficulty Level of the Examination

Counseling of IPU CET 2019

Post-publication of IPU CET 2019 Result, a merit list based on personal score is prepared. Aspirants are shortlisted for the counseling procedure on the basis of this merit list. Counseling for the academic session 2019-20 is expected to start in June 2019. At IPU, counseling is held in both, online as well as offline mode.

IPU CET Counseling 2019 involves the following steps:

  • Thereafter, aspirants required to visit the allotted college to clear the admission procedure.
  • Once the seat is allotted, aspirants will have to pay Admission Fee in part.
  • Shortlisted participants required to pay counseling fee of INR 1000 in either online or offline mode. It must be noted that the counseling fee is non-refundable.
  • Online payment can be made from the participant login on the official website, through Payment Gateway, using Net Banking/Debit or Credit Cards.
  • Registration for counseling commences two days after the payment of counseling fee.
  • Aspirants will be allowed the chance to modify/add/delete preferences first round of seat allocation, for the subsequent rounds of counselling.
  • Aspirants will have to select institutes and courses available, in order of their preference, for possible seat allocation by the authority.
  • Seat Allocation is done on the basis of merit, respective category, and region.
  • In case of offline payment, a cash challan can be downloaded from the participant login on the official website, details filled in and cash deposited at the bank/discipline specified on the challan.
  • Aspirants are advised to carry original documents in person for verification purposes.

It must be noted here that aspirants who fail to report for admission, will have no claim to their allotted seat and any fees paid will be forfeited.
