IOCL is an Indian PSU and our country’s largest commercial enterprise. These comprise Digboi (Assam), Guwahati (Assam), Bongaigaon (Assam), Barauni (Bihar), Haldia (West Bengal), Vadodara (Gujarat), Mathura (UP), Paradip (Odisha) and Panipat (Haryana). Its refineries are spread across different locations in India.

Trade Apprentice Monthly Stipend
Once after completing the written exam and individual interview, IOCL pays the monthly stipend to the apprentice associates. This monthly stipend provided is as per the official notification announced by IOCL - "Consolidated stipend payable will be as per Apprenticeship Rules with an additional amount of INR 2500 Consolidated stipend is subject to the periodic revision in at least wages as eligible to particular operating location."
Trade Apprentice Age Limit
The age of the unreserved category aspirants wishing to apply must be between 18 to 24 years as on January 31, 2018. However, the upper age is relaxed by five years for the SC and ST category aspirants, three years for the OBC category aspirants, and 10 years for the PwBD category aspirants.
Trade Apprentice Educational Qualification Need
For the Secretarial Assistant apprentice, aspirants must be passed the B.A., B.Sc or B.Com. course with at least 55% qualifying marks from any recognised institution or university. The SC, ST and PwD aspirants obligatory to score minimum 50% marks in any of these courses.
For Accountant apprentice, they must be passed B.Com. with at least 55% qualifying marks from any recognised institution or university. The SC, ST and PwD aspirants obligatory to score minimum 50% marks in this course.

IOCL has some pre-defined rules for selecting the aspirants from the whole lot that has applied. Selection procedure for the vacancy of apprentices is solely based on the written test which has a weight of 85% and the individual interview of 15% weight.
Those aspirants who manage to qualify the written test organized by IOCL will be applicable for the individual interview round. On the basis of their individual interview, they would be selected to get listed on the merit list by considering their aggregate marks in both the stages.
The unreserved category aspirants must score minimum 40% marks in each of the mentioned two stages. The least qualifying marks for the SC, ST and PwD students is 5%.
