IOCL Recruitment via GATE 2018 – IOCL is appointing for Graduate Engineers via GATE 2018. There is no separate application fee. The selection of aspirants is based on GATE 2018 score. The IOCL Appointment via GATE 2018 online application form is available from January 10, 2018, to February 12, 2018. The shortlisted aspirants will undergo in the procedure of selection procedure i.e.Group discussion & Individual interview.

Petroleum engineers will be posted in the Exploration and Production Business Vertical of Business Development Division.Their job profiles would comprise supervising drilling operations and preparing drilling engineering designs, calculations and drilling programmes for the blocks operated by Indian Oil, monitoring of production performance for producing upstream assets of Indian Oil, carrying out reservoir engineering simulation and modelling for optimal reservoir management.

Aspirants selected as Engineers/Officers will be receiving a monthly remuneration of Rs. 24,900/- Also, the selected aspirants will be getting DA and other allowances as per the rules of the Corporation in force, as amended from time to time.
Other Allowances or Benefits would comprise HRA/Subsidized Housing Accommodation (depending upon the place of posting),medical facilities,performance concerned pay,gratuity,contributory offering fund,employees pension scheme, group individual accident insurance scheme, leave encashment,LTC,contributory superannuation benefit fund scheme,conveyance advance,performance concerned incentives,etc.
The Cost To Company (CTC) will be around Rs.12.00 lakhs per annum inclusive of Performance Concerned Pay.
The Actual CTC will vary, depending on the place of posting, the financial performance of the Corporation and also the personal performance of the employee.
Ans. NO.There is no separate application fee to be given to Indian Oil. An aspirant needs to pay the need fees for GATE 2018 only.Details concerning GATE fees are given on the GATE website. Information about GATE is also available on the websites of the 7 IITs (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) and also on Indian Institute of Science’s website.
Ans. NO, Indian Oil will not be appointing Geology and Geophysics professionals via GATE 2017.
Ans. YES, it can be viewed again, but no change can be made to the details once filled in.
Ans. The grade or CGPA should be converted into % as per conversion formula applied by the Institute/University for awarding class or division. In case, such a formula is not available, Indian Oil will have full authority to convert that into % by applying its own process, as it may consider suitable.
Ans. Persons with Disability of 40% or more will get the benefits admissible to PWD aspirants. Also, it is compulsory that such an aspirant holds a valid disability certificate alloted by the medical board constituted for such purpose.Aspirants, whose degree of disability is less than 40%, are not entitled to any exemption admissible to PWD aspirants.
Ans. There is no required to mail the finished application after affixing photograph.This application is to be bought at the time of GD/GT and PI.
Ans. NO, Indian Oil shall not entertain any offline applications.

Ans. Subject-wise syllabus of GATE 2017 is available in GATE 2017 brochure, which can be downloaded from GATE 2018 website.

NO, an aspirant with a degree in Electronics and Instrumentation branch shall be considered for appointment in Indian Oil only in the Instrumentation branch.The branch of engineering in which the aspirant is graduating or has already graduated requires being the same for appearing GATE 2017 examination also.Aspirants with a mismatch in branches will altogether be rejected.
Ans. The qualification requirement for the position of Officers/Engineers is 4-year full time BE/B.Tech from a recognised Indian University/Institute.An aspirant with MCA does not meet the eligibility requirement for Graduate Engineers.
Ans. YES, ScoreGATE 2017 score is the only valid score to be considered for appointment in Indian A score of GATE 2016 or prior to that will not be considered by Indian Oil for its appointment under this advertisement.
Ans. NO, GATE does not have any upper age limit, but Indian Oil has. In Engineering branches, general category aspirants of more than 26 years of age as on June 30, 2017, will not be considered for appointment under Indian Oil. Relaxation in age will be extended to other category aspirants, as prescribed by the Presidential Directive of Government of India.
Ans. NO, GATE does not have any % of marks requirement, but Indian Oil does have. In Engineering branches, General and OBC category aspirants need to score minimum 65% marks in their qualifying bachelor’s degree examination.For other category aspirants, it is relaxed to 55%.In Geology and Geophysics, the at least % of marks is 60% for General and OBC category and 55% for SC/ST/PWD categories respectively.
Ans. NO, GATE does not have any physical fitness criteria, but Indian Oil has.The aspirants wishing to appear GATE for appointment in Indian Oil only must go via the pre-employment medical fitness standard of Indian Oil before proceeding with the GATE application procedure.
