GATE 2018 (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) will be organizeed by IIT Guwahati in February 2018. Last time IIT Guwahati organizeed GATE in the year 2010. The exam will be held on Feb 3-4 and Feb 10-11.

Candidates will have to fill GATE 2018 application form via GATE Online Application Procedures System (GOAPS). Aspirants can refer to the amount of application fee to be paid for various categories mentioned below.
For General aspirants, the application fee is INR 1,500, for women candidates and SC/ST/PwD category aspirants it is INR 750 and for all the international aspirants it is $50.

Aspirants who have finished the graduation in their respective branches are applicable for the exam. Aspirants who are appearing for final semester exams can apply for GATE as well.
Although there is no there is no at least or maximum age requirement to take the exam and graduation is the need educational qualification, but for each course, the eligibility criteria are different.
From the year 2012, the examination has been used by the PSUs in their appointment procedure also and the number of PSUs using the GATE score has increased steadily. GATE 2016 score was also used for the appointment of positions in the Cabinet Secretariat in the Government of India.
There will be 65 questions carrying 100 marks in the GATE 2018 Exam. Aspirants can refer to the table given below in order to understand the GATE 2018 exam format in a better way:
