IIM (Indian Institute of Management) Bodh Gaya Admission Criteria 2018

Admission criteria of Indian Institute of Management, Bodh Gaya (IIM-B), for admission to PG Program (PGP) for the academic year 2018-20 is based on CAT Score 2017. Apart from the score of CAT, the admission also depends upon the past academics and prior work experience.

Some highlights of the IIM Bodh Gaya Admission criteria 2018: 

  • The final selection criteria will be based on norms such as 10th Result, 12th Result, Graduation Marks, Gender Diversity, Work Experience, PI and WAT.
  • CAT Cut off for the General category student is greater than or equal to 90 percentile to be applicable for admission, but this does not ensure allocation of the seat.
  • A merit list is declared for the selected students after the successful completion of all the rounds.
  • The selection of aspirants for admission will be based on their performance in Individual Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT), after the declaration of CAT result.

IIM Bodh Gaya provides a 2-year PGP-PGDM program which is a full-time residential course. The course structure consists of the core curriculum, a summer internship and elective courses (optional).


IIM Bodh Gaya Admission Criteria 2018

The IIM Bodh Gaya Admission Criteria 2018 will be organizeed in 3 phases:

  1. CAT 2017 Percentile
  2. Written ability test and Individual Interview.
  3. Final Merit List

After the declaration of the result of WAT and PI, a merit list will be declared taking into consideration the overall profile of the aspirant.


Shortlisting for PI and WAT of IIM Bodh Gaya Admission Criteria 2018

Aspirants required to score an at least need percentage in CAT 2017 to get further applicable for Individual Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT) which is given below. They must also complete the sectional cut off.

For shortlisting aspirants for WAT/PI rounds, IIM Bodhgaya will consider only the CAT performance of an aspirant. This goes on to show that performing well in CAT 2017 would go a long way in securing a WATGD/PI call from this premier B-school.

NOTE- The actual section-wise and overall percentile of a shortlisted aspirant may be much higher than the above-mentioned at least percentile.


Criteria for Final Selection for IIM Bodh Gaya Admission 2018

An aspirant’s final score for selection at IIM Bodh Gaya is calculated on the basis of weights given to the following factors:

  • Class X marks- 05
  • Writing Ability Test (WAT)- 05
  • Gender Diversity- 01
  • Individual Interview (PI)- 15
  • Academic Diversity- If bachelor’s degree from the list mentioned below then 1 else 0
  • Work Experience- 03
  • Class XII marks- 05
  • CAT Score 2017- 15

  1. On the basis of Class 10 and 12 marks-

The points which will be allotted to the aspirant based on the aggregate score of Class 10 and Class 12 percentages of marks of the aspirants are as per the table is given below.

2. On the basis of Work Experience-

Work experience is an experience that a person gains while working in a specific field or occupation. Maximum of Six points will be honoured depending on the length of service as on July 31, 2017, to the aspirants.

NOTE- Only managerial work experience after graduation will be considered. Training/Project work/work done as an integral part of the curricular requirement will not be considered.

* ADFB: Academic Diversity Factor at Bachelor Degree level means aspirants who hold bachelor degree as under ADFB list will get 3 points and those aspirants who do not have one will get 0 points. The courses under ADFB list are:

  • BA/ BA (Hons.)
  • B.Com/ B.Com (Hons.)

  • LL.B
  • BS
  • MBBS/BDS or any other non-engineering bachelor degree

In the selection procedure, the total weightage for parameters which are controllable ( CAT, WAT, and PI ) in the final selection stage has been kept at 70%. This means that the participants, who do not have a good academic profile or work experience can still aspire to join IIM Bodh Gaya by performing well in CAT 2017, WAT and PI rounds.


Criteria for Final Selection for PGP (Batch 2018-20)

The final selection list will be based rigidly on merit in each category. The at least qualification on the above-mentioned criteria would not automatically qualify the aspirant for admission into IIM Bodh Gaya.

Reservation Policy

IIM Bodh Gaya has the same policies which are applied by Central Educational Institutions (CEI) for reservation for admission in IIM Bodh Gaya. Any dispute concerning Admissions for the PGP Batch 2018-20 would be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts within the territorial jurisdiction of the city of Bodh Gaya only.
