IIFT Application Form 2019

IIFT 2019 Application Form will be available in the month of July 2018. Aspirants can apply in both online and offline method. The last date for filling IIFT 2019 Application Form is September 2018 for Indian citizens and February 2019 for foreign nationals. Students must read the eligibility criteria thoroughly before they fill the application form.

Application fee of INR 1550 for general category while INR 775 for reserved category and INR 4500 for NRIs and foreign nationals can be paid via online banking, credit/debit card in online method and via DD in the offline method. Post successful submission of IIFT Application Form aspirants can avail their IIFT Hall Ticket 2019.

Application of foreign nationals must be routed under self-financing scheme via Ministry of External Affairs/ Ministry of Human Resource Development. It must be noted that the dates mentioned above are tentative and subject to change once the official notification for the exam is announced.

Eligibility Criteria for IIFT 2019

IIFT has defined separate eligibility criteria for both Indian and foreign nationals. The eligibility criteria are defined based on age, education qualification, and nationality.

IIFT eligibility criteria for Indian nationals

Age: There is no age bar defined for the aspirants who wish to pursue MBA from IIFT.

Education:

  • Education must be finished in the regular method, especially graduation, as this can create some hurdle in final selection rounds.
  • Aspirants must have finished graduation with an at least of 50% marks.
  • Students in the final year of the qualifying examination must submit the copy of their mark sheets by October 8, 2019 before the commencement of the session.
  • SC/ST/PWD aspirants obligatory to secure only 45% marks in qualifying examination.

Nationality:

All the Indian nationals irrespective of their background can appear for the exam.

Eligibility criteria for foreign nationals

Nationality requirements for foreign national/ NRI according to IIFT

  • In case of NRI aspirants a student who is pursuing, working, living abroad should produce an application along with the passport documents allotted by Indian Embassy / High Commission /Consulate of the country where the aspirant is currently based, stating that the aspirant has been residing in their country continuously for a duration of 18 months or more as on December 31, 2018.
  • NRI/ foreign nationals who have appeared for any entrance test like XAT/CAT/NMAT/MAT etc. in India for the year 2018 cannot appear for IIFT 2019.
  • Aspirants must send a copy of their academic degree/ diploma along with the application form. All the grades and mark sheets must be self- reported.
  • Foreign nationals who are currently in India at the time of IIFT entrance test need to appear for the same.
  • All the documents must be produced in original at the time of IIFT admission procedure or counseling.
  • All the foreign nationals/ NRI aspirants obligatory to have a passport/ travel documents of another country (except India).
  • In order to qualify as an international aspirant for the IIFT exam, the aspirant must have stayed in a foreign country as a resident for a duration of minimum 18 months. The date of completion of this duration must fall on or before December 31, 2018.
  • Foreign nationals/ NRI aspirants who have appeared for the GMAT exam must send their GMAT score to IIFT Delhi address latest by February 15, 2019. GMAT score after January 1, 2018 is not valid.

Age requirements for NRI /Foreign Nationals

  • There is no age bar defined for participants by IIFT.

Nationality

  • Students from Pakistan and Bangladesh can also apply under NRI quota.
  • Any foreign national can apply.

How to Fill IIFT 2019 Application Form in the online method?

IIFT application form can be filled in the online method by following the steps mentioned below. Aspirants obligatory to check their internet connection and keep all the important documents willing if they wish to fill the application form successfully.

Step 1-Registration

  1. Open the official IIFT website: edu.iift.ac.in
  2. Read all the instructions cautiously appearing on the main page, concerned to application form filling.
  3. Click on the link “apply now” given on the left hand margin. This will take you to a new webpage.
  4. Click on “Continue to fill online application form”.
  5. Offer the details of aspirant’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, category details, gender details, date of birth, mailing address, primary email id and secondary email id, mobile number.
  6. Create a password which can be used for future login to the portal.
  7. Once you hit the “submit” button, the confirmation email will be sent through email and SMS to you. The screen will also display the message given below.

Step 2: Filling Educational Details

  1. Login to the portal with the details of application number and password sent to your email id.
  2. Click on “login” button after entering the details.
  3. The system will show you an application window as below:

Step 3: Payment of Application Fee

Once the details have been filled, application fee has to be paid according to the instructions given below:

Method 1: Online payment of application fee

  1. Payment of fee has to be done via credit/debit card. The aspirant must offer the card number of their VISA card on the website and follow the instruction given on the page.
  2. Do not push refresh button while the application fee is getting paid. So that the same can be procedure easily.

Method 2: Paying fee via Demand draft

Participants have to submit a DD in favor of ‘Indian Institute of Foreign Trade’, payable at New Delhi. The DD number must be filled in the online application form.

The DD fee details are

  • Rs.1550 + Bank charges for the general category aspirants.
  • Rs.775 + Bank charges for SC/ST/PWD aspirants.

Step 4: Uploading the scanned images of the photograph and signature

The scanned copy of the recent passport size photograph and signature must be uploaded online on the official website. The specifications of the same are as follows:

Specifications for a photograph

  • The file size of the photograph must not be more than 50KB per file.
  • The picture must be of the light background.
  • The face must be complete in the photograph.
  • The name of the photograph must be photograph.jpeg.

Specifications for uploading signature

  • The image must be cropped using the MS Paint or any other photo editor tool.
  • The size must be 50KB.
  • The signature must be done on a white paper.
  • The signature must be done with a black/ blue ball point pen in a running hand writing.
  • Make sure that only the signature portion is cropped and not the entire A4 page.
  • Scanned size must be 200 dpi.

Once all the details have been filled and the photograph uploaded the system will generate a confirmation page and a copy of the clearly filled online form. All the aspirants must keep a copy of the same for future use.

How to fill IIFT 2019 Application Form in Offline Method?

Aspirants who wish to fill the application form in the offline method can purchase the prospectus from IIFT institute. Students can fill the application form clearly and send it to the address mentioned below:

Attach the DD with the same and then only send it to the authorities.

Note: Aspirants must make sure that they fill their IIFT Application Form correctly as IIFT has not defined any correction window for the application form once filled. So, make sure you submit the details of the application form cautiously. The data once filled cannot be edited.

IIFT 2019 Application Form Filling for International Participants

Foreign Nationals and NRI aspirants can also apply for IIFT 2019 exam. Aspirants have to submit their scores to the respective institute by the third week of February, 2019. The GMAT score after January 1, 2018 only is accepted. The admission of aspirants under this category is granted on the basis of GMAT.

Foreign Nationals applying under Self-financing Scheme must submit their application forms forwarded via Ministry of Development, Government of India. The last date to submit applications is last week of March. Aspirants have to attach their GMAT scorecard and following documents along with the application form.

  • Demand Draft(For participants who have chosen offline method of fee payment)
  • Copy of the nationality proof of foreign country & photocopy of the first and last page of the passport
  • Children/wards of NRI category have to attach photocopy of the parent(s) passport, letter from embassy as a proof that the aspirant is the child of an Indian couple who are foreign nationals
  • NRI aspirants have to submit letter from embassy as proof of NRI
