HPCET Syllabus is set by the organizing body of the examination namely- Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HIMTU). HPCET is held for admission to B.Tech and M.Tech courses in colleges affiliated to HPTU. The syllabus is various for both Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses.
HPCET (Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test) is a state level test organizeed by Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur. The exam is held in offline method (pen and paper-based).
Aspirants must be passed in 12th standard with PCM subjects are applicable to apply for B.Tech course. HPCET 2018 for B.Tech entrance includes three sections i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
It consists of 150 questions in the exam. The total period of the exam is three hours. Each question carries two marks and there is negative marking of 0.5 marks for every wrong response. The section wise syllabus for HPCET 2018 is as follow:

To apply for the M.Tech course, they must have B.Tech in Civil/ CSE/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics Engineering. The general aptitude and Engineering mathematics are the common section in all the M.Tech. Entrance paper.
There will be a total of 100 questions in the exam. Two marks will be rewarded for every accurate answer and one-fourth marks will be deducted for every inaccurate answer.
Aspirants required to solve the paper in three hours. The syllabus for the M.Tech entrance of HPCET comprises three sections which are given below:
