GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test) Result 2018

Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) 2018 Result will be published within three weeks of the date of examination. The email will contain a URL which must be clicked to download the scorecard. Aspirants can view their results via an online method on the official website of GMAT. The information regarding the availability of scorecard will be imparted on the registered e-mail id.

Scorecard will comprise Analytical Writing Assessment score, past five years GMAT exam scores and individual data such a name of the aspirant, Date of Birth which was offered at the time of registration. GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council) organizes the aptitude test every year commonly called as GMAT for selecting applicable and qualified participants in the regular two-year management program (MBA) in some of the top management schools and Business Schools of the country.


How to Check GMAT Result 2018?

Participants of GMAT exam can visit the official website- mba.com to view their results online. GMAT is organizeed on flexible dates, those who wish to appear for it can choose dates according to their preference. GMAT score is valid up to 5 years. The steps to download GMAT score are as follows:

  1. Go to the official website of GMAT- mba.com.
  2. Click on “Log In” option currently on the homepage of the website.
  3. Enter unique id and password generated at the time of registration
  4. Click on ‘login’ tab.
  5. Check your Result by clicking on ‘GMAT scorecard’ option.
  6. Download it and keep it safe for future reference.

Details Current in GMAT Result 2018

GMAT 2018 scorecard is the official document which can be obtained 20 days after the examination. An official GMAT scorecard consists of the following details: aspirants can download scorecard and keep it safe till admission procedure is finished.

  • Quantitative scaled score (on a scale from 0 to 60)
  • Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) Score (on a scale from 0 to 6)
  • Date of Birth
  • Total scaled score (on a scale from 200 to 800)
  • Verbal scaled score (on a scale from 0 to 60)
  • Category (GEN/OBC/SC/ST)
  • Aspirant’s Details
  • Name of Aspirant

The test scores are valid for five years for most of the universities. But it is always prudent to have scored no more than 2 years old. This scorecard includes the total scores and the sectional scores obtained by aspirants in the examination. This printed scorecard will be considered as valid and used in the counseling process.


Cut Off of GMAT 2018

The Cut Off may be announced section-wise. GMAT 2018 Cut Off is evaluated on the basis of different factors, some of them are given below:

  • Difficulty level of question paper
  • Number of Aspirant appearing for GMAT exam
  • No of aspirants passed the exam
  • Vacancies available

At Least GMAT Score/Cut Off Need to Qualify

There are no at least qualifying marks in GMAT exam, instead, the aspirants have to secure maximum marks to get in the best university and marks or percentile varies from university to university. The average score is around 600+ according to earlier year trends as given below:

  • Harvard University requires an average score of 707.
  • The University of Chicago required 80% score ranging between 640 and 760.

Therefore, the average score is 680, with 80% being between 610 - 750. There is no specific number of marks to qualify for GMAT. The more the aspirant scores, more are the chances for aspirants to get best MBA University.

Counseling of GMAT 2018

The result includes of the marks obtained by the aspirants in the exam. If participants are satisfied with declared GMAT 2018 Result then they can join the counseling process and enrol in management courses. In case they are not satisfied with their result and would like to sit in the examination again then they can click ‘decline’ tab.

GMAT score plays an important role in the selection as first screening is done on the basis of GMAT scores. To compete with the high scores aspirant will have to aim for a GMAT score within 50 points of a school's average. The process to appear in GMAT counseling is as follows:

Documents Need while GMAT 2018 Counseling

Aspirants must carry the following documents and one photocopy of each document along with them for GMAT Counselling:

  • Rank Card
  • Medical documents mentioned on GMAT application form
  • Community certificate(SC/ST/OBC/Other) signed by the authorized authority
  • Original and minimum 2 photocopies of certificates of class 10 and class 12.
  • 4-6 Passport size photographs colour and black and white
  • Original Admit card
  • Original degree/provisional certificate if aspirant is appearing
  • Bank draft has as per guidelines mentioned on GMAT prospectus.
  • Original counselling letter
  • Scorecard
