GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) Result 2019

GATE Result 2019 will be released in the month of March 2019. For checking GATE result, aspirants required to enter the login credentials such as Enrolment Number, Registration Number, and Date of Birth etc. GATE scorecard will be made available in online method only at the official website of IIT Guwahati i.e. www.iitg.ac.in.

Aspirants can check GATE Result 2019 through online method only. In case of any variation in the paper, normalization process will be adapted to derive a conclusion. Those securing marks equal to or above qualifying marks can download GATE scorecard. On the basis of the students’ marks, GATE cut off will be decided.

Apart from providing admission, GATE scores are used for the following purposes:

  • Admission to ME/ M.Tech./ Ph.D in IITs/ NITs/ CFTIs and other universities of India.

How to check GATE 2019 Result?

GATE Result 2019 will be declared in the month of March 2019 at GOAPS website. The examination result will be published on the official website of IIT Guwahati. The result will not be delivered to any of the participant’s address.

By following the below steps, students can check GATE 2019 Result.

  • Click on the Submit button
  • Visit the official website of GATE
  • Enter the credentials like Enrolment Number, Registration Number, Date of Birth and Captcha Code.
  • Click on the “GATE Result” tab

After clicking on the button, GATE result will be displayed on the screen. Students are advised to download the result for their future reference.

Normalization of Score

Normalization of scores is based on different factors especially the difficulty level of the examination. For calculating the normalization of score, students must follow the below-mentioned formulas:

PSUs Accepting GATE Score

  • Aspirants must fill the application form of the respective PSU at the specified time.
  • Most of the PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) actively appoint aspirants with valid GATE Result.
  • BSNL, WBSEDCL and Power Grid are the PSUs accepting GATE score.

The ones who qualify GATE Cutoff will be applicable for final selection.


Cut Off from GATE 2019

Cut off are the at least marks that must be scored by the aspirant in order to reserve a seat. Cut off marks are various for various branches. Cut off will be declared category-wise and stream-wise. GATE cut off will be published after the declaration of the result.

Counseling of GATE 2019

After the releasement of GATE Result, GATE 2019 counseling will take place in April 2019. Counseling is done separately by different institutes. Students who have qualified GATE will have to appear for rounds of Group Discussion and Individual Interview.

GATE counseling will be organizeed via COAP i.e. “Common Provide Acceptance Portal”. For taking part in the counseling rounds, students should register at the COAP website. Institutes like NITs, IITs, GFTIs will organize the GATE counseling via CCMT i.e. Centralised Counseling for M.Tech/M.Arch.
