BCECE (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Exam) 2019

BCECE (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Exam) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by BCECE board annually, for admission to different professional courses of Medical, Engineering and Agriculture stream in the reputed institutes of Bihar.

BCECE is organizeed in two stages Stage - 1 and Stage – 2. Candidates should have passed class 12th examination from a recognised board of the country, with science stream as an at least eligibility criterion.

  • The total period for Stage-1 is 2 hours 15 minutes while 1 hour 30 minutes will be allotted for Stage-2.
  • BCECE Stage-1is scheduled for the third week of April 2019 while Stage-2 will be held in the third week of May 2019.
  • Each stage of examination includes 4 sections containing objective type (MCQ) questions.
  • 4 marks are honoured for every accurate response and 1 mark is deducted for every inaccurate response.
  • BCECE Syllabus comprises topics of 10+2 level.
  • It is an offline exam i.e. pen and paper-based.

BCECE 2019 will be organizeed separately for various subject combinations namely, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM), Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) and PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology). Also, the exam format differs in both the stages.

Examination Format in Detail of BCECE 2019 

BCECE 2019 will be organizeed in 2 stages i.e. Stage-1 and Stage-2. Aspirants who complete Stage-1 can only appear for the Stage-2 exam.

Each stage includes four sections (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology). The exam will be organizeed separately for various sets of subjects’ combination, which are PCB for medical stream aspirants, PCM for engineering & technology streams and PCMB for students aspiring to pursue a course in agriculture.

The syllabus will be same as the one announced by BCECE for class 12th examination. Any further addition of topics or elimination of topics will be indicated by BCECE in the official syllabus. All aspirants need to study from the chapter-wise syllabus for each subject, announced by the admission authority.

BCECE 2019 Stage 1 Examination Format

Stage 1 examination will be held in the 3rd week of April 2019. The examination format for the exam is mentioned below.

  • Students are supposed to clear the examination within 2 hours and 15 minutes.
  • The question paper will consist of four sections (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology) depending upon the choice of the stream made by the candidate.
  • Four marks are rewarded for every accurate response and one mark is deducted for every wrong response.
  • Each section includes of 50 objective (MCQ) type questions.
  • A total of 150 questions will be asked for a maximum of 600 marks.
  • The examination is organizeed in offline method (pen-paper mode).

BCECE 2019 Stage 2 Examination Format

Stage 2 examination will be held in the 3rd week of May 2019. The examination format for the exam is given below.

  • The exam will be organizeed separately for each subject.
  • 1 hour 30 minutes will be given to clear each examination and a 30-minute break will also be given in between each subject examination.
  • It will also consist of four sections each of which will contain100 questions.
  • For every accurate response, 4 marks will be rewarded and one mark will be deducted for every inaccurate response.
  • Total 300 questions are asked for maximum marks of 1200.
  • The exam will be organizeed in offline method (pen- paper mode).
  • Only students qualifying Stage – 1 examination are applicable to appear for the Stage – 2 exam.

Marking Scheme of BCECE 2019 

There will be 150 questions in BCECE Stage 1 question paper, of total 600 marks. Each section will carry 200 marks, where 4 marks will be honoured for every accurate response and one marks will be deducted for every inaccurate response.

For students appearing in PCMB exam, there will be 200 questions for a total of 800 marks.

BCECE Stage 2 question paper will be for a total of 1200 marks. The exam will be organizeed separately for all the subjects. Each subject examination will contain 100 questions of total 400 marks. Students will be honoured 4 marks for each accurate response and one mark will be deducted from his/her total score for every wrong response.

Important Instructions of BCECE 2019 

Here are some important instructions for BCECE 2019 that aspirants must follow:

  • In the examination hall, aspirants should follow all the instructions given by the examiners.
  • No aspirant will be allowed to appear for the examination without his/her Hall Ticket and a valid Photo Identity Card (in original).
  • After commencement of the examination, no aspirant will be permitted to enter the examination centre/hall.
  • Aspirants are not allowed to carry any electronic device (Mobile, Bluetooth, Pager, etc.) and study material (Test Series, Books, Model Papers, etc.) in the examination hall.
  • Any aspirant indulging in an argument with the examiners or other staff involved in the examination duty at the examination centre will be treated as Unfair Means and his/her result will not be declared.
  • Any kind of damage to the OMR Sheet may lead to direct disqualification.
  • Do not damage the OMR Sheet. It must be kept in the excellent conditions, as your paper will be checked by that OMR Sheet only.
  • Once the examiner has verified BCECE Hall Ticket 2019 of the aspirant, he/she must sign on the attendance sheet in the presence of the examiner.
