DU (Delhi University) LLB Result 2018

Delhi University LLB Entrance Examination (DU LLB) 2018 will be announced by Delhi University (DU) via online mode. Scorecard of each aspirant can be personally checked by login into the account, while a consolidated online result sheet of the exam will be published by DU.

  • A merit list of aspirants will also be published by the central university
  • Merit list for DU LLB 2018 will be considered as its rank list since it will state All India Rank and Category Rank of aspirants depending upon their performance in entrance exam
  • Result will be declared on the official website of Delhi University – http://www.du.ac.in/
  • Every aspirant’s name, roll number and rank (All India Rank and Category Rank), as well as marks and examination qualifying status, will be mentioned in result sheet
  • DU LLB 2018 Result will be published in pdf pattern and will entail the detailed examination performance of each aspirant, who has given exam 
  • Faculty of Law, University of Delhi will be responsible for declaring the result of DU LLB 2018
  • Aspirant required to individually be current to attend the counseling rounds for the three-year LLB courses
  • Expected date for the releasement of result for the exam is the first week of July 2018.

DU LLB is a university level entrance exam organizeed once every year. DU LLB is organizeed by Faculty of Law, for the aspirants want admission to 3- year law program.

Important Dates for DU LLB 2018

DU LLB 2018 Result will most probably be released by University of Delhi in the first week of July 2018. Subsequent to the declaration of result and publishing of merit list, which is also rank list in case of this exam, counseling sessions will commence. Counseling procedure is likely to begin from last week of July 2018.

How to Check DU LLB Result 2018

Result for the annual entrance exam for admission into LLB undergraduate courses provideed by Faculty of Law, Delhi University, is likely to be declared in the first week of July 2018. Aspirants will have to download their results online only. To download their results aspirants must perform the following steps: Results released by DU will be deemed as final and no requests for change or modifications or rechecking will be entertained thereafter. No individual correspondence will be sent to aspirants for result declaration.

  • Click on ‘Under Graduate Admissions’ tab and navigate to ‘Under Graduate (entrance based) Admissions (2017-18)’
  • Go to the official website of DU
  • Use unique username (E-mail ID/DU LLB 2018 roll or registration number) and password (self-created password/date of birth) credentials to login into the registered account
  • Take print out of scorecard for further reference
  • Download the scorecard
  • Click on ‘Result’ tab

Merit list for DU LLB 2018 will be published along with the declaration of result for the exam. Merit list contains both All India Rank and Category Rank of each aspirant who appeared for the exam. It is calculated on the basis of marks obtained by aspirants in the exam. Merit list serves as the rank list on the basis of which admissions are granted into three-year LLB courses.

Scorecard of each aspirant contains the following information:

  • Name
  • Category Rank
  • Combined Rank
  • Consolidated Score
  • Category Marks
  • Subject-wise score

Response Key of DU LLB 2018

DU LLB 2018 Response Key will be published by DU in July 2018. Response keys are likely to be published in two stages – the first stage of published response keys will be provisional, while the second stage of response key will be final. It is declared within 1-2 days after entrance exam is successfully organizeed. DU will offer aspirants with an opportunity to raise objections against the provisional response key. For this aspirant will have to write to the Dean of Faculty of Law, Delhi University, along with documents supporting a various response than published in provisional response key

Once all objections are verified, DU publishes the final response key. A total number of questions asked in entrance exam is 175 Response key can be used by aspirants to arrive at a rough estimate of their score by adding 4 marks each for every accurate response and deducting 1 mark for every inaccurate response.

Tie-Break Criteria

In case equal scores are secured by two or more aspirants in entrance exam then it results in a tie in merit list and result. The following process is applied by the University for breaking the tie -  However, aspirants cannot be honoured same merit and therefore, the tie required to be broken.

  • However, if aspirants are same in age then tie is broken by organizing draw of lots
  • First preference will be given to aspirant, who would have scored higher marks in the qualifying Bachelor’s examination
  • In case aspirants have scores same marks in qualifying examination, then preference will be given to aspirant who is older in age

Cut Off of DU LLB 2018

Cut Off lists for DU LLB 2018 will be published by DU, subsequent to the tentative declaration of exam result in the first week of July 2018. DU publishes two types of cutoff lists:

  • Cut Off Ranks
  • Cut Off Marks

There are different factors affecting cut off for DU LLB 2018 such as:

  • Number of aspirants appearing for entrance exam
  • Cutoff trends of earlier years
  • Total number of seats being provideed by DU
  • Level of difficulty of entrance exam

Counseling of DU LLB 2018

DU LLB 2018 Counseling will be conducted by Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. Organizing authority might hold almost six rounds of counseling for admission into LLB courses. Applicable aspirants will have to individually appear for counseling sessions, with all the necessary documents. The steps involved in counseling procedure are:

  • Aspirant will have to appear for counseling session as per the schedule alloted by University
  • Aspirants will need to be part of DU LLB 2018 Counseling depending upon their respective rank in merit/rank list published by DU subsequent to declaration of result
  • Faculty of Law, DU will call those aspirants for counseling procedure, who appear in merit list and also meet cut off requirement for law admission in DU
  • Following documents have to carry following documents when coming for counseling session
  1. Graduation Mark sheet

  3. Passing Certificate of Graduation
  4. Caste Certificate
  5. Valid Hall Ticket of Gateway Exam
