DMRC-Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Recruitment Drive 2018

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation announced notification on January 27, 2018 declaring a massive appointment drive for Executive and Non-executive posts for the year 2018. There are a total of 1896 vacancy being provided for different profiles. Interested aspirants can apply for the same on the official DMRC website www.delhimetrorail.com.

  • Aspirants should have passed ITI, GATE qualified & Engineer Diploma & BA/B.SC/B.Com. Check DMRC Eligibility Criteria
  • DMRC calls for aspirants who are Graduates, Gate qualified and /or Diploma holders in a number of fields, most engineering, to apply for the vacancies announced.
  • DMRC Selection Procedure will be based on Written Test.
  • The application procedure will last till February 26, 2018.
  • The application fee for General category aspirants is INR 500 and for women, SC/ST/PwD aspirants are INR 250.

DMRC Vacancy 2018 Eligibility Criteria

An aspirant must fulfill the following parameters to be applicable to the executive and non-executive posts.

  • An aspirant of PwD must possess and submit a Disability Certificate allowed by Medical Board duly constituted by Central or State Government.
  • An aspirant must be of age between 18 to 28 Years as on January 1. 2018, i.e. born not previous than 02.01.1990 and not later than 01.01.2000, for all posts.
  • An aspirant can apply for more than one post if he satisfies the mentioned qualifications parameters.

Selection Procedure of DMRC Vacancy 2018

  • Aspirants who complete paper 1 and paper 2 with higher ranks on the merit list will be called for GD/Interview and Medical examination.
  • The selection procedure for the posts of non-executive profiles under SECTION ‘B’ & ‘D’ (for postcodes RNE01 to RNE09 & CNE01 to CNE05) will have 2 stages
    • Computer-based test
    • Medical examination
  • The selection procedure for the posts of executives under SECTION ‘A’ & ‘C’ (for postcodes RE01 to RE07 and CE01 to CE04) will have 4 stages
    • Group discussion
    • Computer-based test
    • Individual interview
    • Medical examination
  • The CBT will consist of two papers - Paper-I and Paper-II.
    • Paper-II (Not for Maintainers post, viz., from RNE10 to RNE13) will be of 60 objective type questions on General English.
    •  Paper 1 will be 90 minutes.
    • The Paper-II will be of 45 minutes.
    • Paper-I will have 120 multiple-choice objective type questions, bilingual (Hindi/English), on General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude (General English for Maintainer-Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Fitter and Ref & AC Mechanic) and/ knowledge of the branch/trade.
    • Negative marking of 1/3rd of the mark for each inaccurate response.
  • Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Final selection will be done based on aspirant’s performance in GD/PI and Medical examination combined.

Additional Information concerned with DMRC Appointment 2018

  • Upper age relaxation by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC aspirants for reserved posts.
  • Upper age relaxations by 5 years for aspirants belonging to Jammu & Kashmir who had ordinarily been domiciled in that state between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989.
  • All the aspirants will be put on probation for a duration of 2 years and will obligatory to pass the different exam. If an aspirant fails to fulfill his/her duties satisfactorily, he/she will be dismissed from the service
  • Upper age relaxation by 10 years for PWD Unreserved aspirants, 15 years for PWD SC/ST aspirants and 13 years for PWD OBC aspirants for posts where the reservation for PWD is admissible.
  • All the aspirants will go via intensive training for a period as prescribed by DMRC before joining the posts
