DMRC 2018 Special Recruitment Drive for SC/ST Candidates

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), on January 27, 2018, declared that it will hold a special appointment drive for the aspirants who belong to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes for the year 2018. Aspirants who are of SC/ST category and who satisfy the said eligibility criteria can apply for the provided vacancies on www.delhimetorail.com.

  • The application fee is 250 INR which is non-refundable
  • The selection procedure starts with a Written Test.
  • The application procedure will be until February 26, 2018

DMRC Appointment 2018 Eligibility Criteria for SC/ST

An aspirant must fulfill the following parameters to be applicable for the mentioned profiles-

  • All the aspirants will be put on probation for a duration of 2 years and will obligatory to pass the different exam. If an aspirant fails to fulfill his/her duties satisfactorily, he/she will be dismissed from the service
  • Existing DMRC employees, belonging to SC/ST categories, who have finished minimum 3 years continuous service in DMRC as on 1.1.2018, will be given upper-age relaxation/limit to the extent, as summarized below:
  • An aspirant must be of age between 18 to 33 Years as on January 1. 2018, i.e. born not previous than 02.01.1985 and not later than 01.01.2000, for all posts.
  • Upper age relaxation by 10 years for PWD SC/ST aspirants.
  • Reservation for Ex-Servicemen/PWD, wherever eligible, shall be treated as a horizontal reservation.
  • Upper age for Ex-servicemen will be the length of service + 3 years, subject to a maximum age of 45 years. The Ex-servicemen are those who are covered in the definition, as per extant rules of Ministry of Defence/Govt of India.
  • Upper age relaxations by 5 years for aspirants (SC/ST category aspirants only) belonging to Jammu & Kashmir who had ordinarily been domiciled in that state between 01.01.1980 and 31.12.1989.
  • An aspirant can apply for more than one post if he satisfies the mentioned qualifications parameters.
  1. For Executive posts (postcodes SDE01 to SDE04), the maximum age relaxation: SC/ST – by 05 years
  2. For Non-Executive posts (postcodes SDNE01 toSDNE02 & SDCNE01 to SDCNE03), the upper-age limit of the employee is: SC/ST – 40 years

DMRC Appointment 2018 Selection Procedure for SC/ST

  • For the posts of Asstt. Managers under Section ‘A’ (for postcodes SDE01 to SDE04), the selection procedure will be of 4 stages:
  1. Computer-based test
  2. Group discussion
  3. Individual interview
  4. Medical examination
  • For the posts of Stenographer, the selection methodology will include a three-stage procedure:
  • For the posts of SC/TO, the selection procedure will be of 4 stages:
  1. Computer-based test
  2. Psycho test (qualifying only)
  3. Medical examination
  • For the posts Accounts Assistant & Office Assistant, the selection procedure will be of 2 stages:
  1. Computer-based test
  2. Medical examination
  • For the posts Maintainer- Electronic Mechanic, the selection procedure will be of 2 stages:
  1. Computer-based test (Paper 1 only)
  2. Medical examination
  • The CBT will consist of two papers - Paper-I and Paper-II.
  • Computer Based Test (CBT)
  1. Paper-I will have 120 multiple-choice objective type questions, bilingual (Hindi/English), on General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude (General English for Maintainer-Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Fitter and Ref & AC Mechanic) and/ knowledge of the branch/trade.
  2. Paper 1 will be 90 minutes.
  3. Paper-II (Not for Maintainers post, viz., from RNE10 to RNE13) will be of 60 objective type questions on General English.
  4. The Paper-II will be of 45 minutes.
  5. Negative marking of 1/3rd of the mark for each inaccurate response.
  • Skill Test for Stenographer: The skill test will be of Qualifying Nature. The aspirants will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English at the speed of 80 w.p.m. The matter will have to be transcribed on computer only. The transcription time will be 40 minutes (English).
  • Aspirants who complete paper 1 and paper 2 with higher ranks on the merit list will be called for GD/Interview and Medical examination.
  • Final selection will be done based on aspirant’s performance in GD/PI and Medical examination combined.
  • Psycho test for SC/TO: The psycho test will be of Qualifying Nature.
