CTET 2018 (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is organizeed by CBSE twice every year. It is held for providing employment in teaching to meritorious candidates in various central and state government schools. Aspirants should have passed the senior secondary exam and must have a diploma or bachelor’s degree in education.
The total obtainable marks in both papers of CTET are 150. Negative marking will not be applicable for this exam. It will be conducted in both Hindi and English language. The details of the syllabus are mentioned in this article.
CTET 2018 Paper 1 is conducted for aspirants seeking employment in the Primary classes of schools. The highlights for CTET 2018 Paper 1 are as follows: The syllabus for the exam is as decided by CBSE every year and there has been no significant change in it since the last year. It will consist of 5 sections, each of which is compulsory.
The questions on topics studied throughout classes 1 to 5 will be asked in this paper. Aspirants will have to answer questions that will assess their strategy of teaching and instruct.The examiners will also frame questions to test the teaching aptitude of candidates. The highlights for CTET 2018 Paper 2 are as follows: They will have an option in the fourth section which aspirants should opt as per the subject they wish to teach.
Questions on topics studied throughout classes 6 to 8 will be asked in this paper. Candidates will have to answer questions that assess their teaching caliber. The examiners will also frame questions to test the participant’s proficiency and comprehension abilities in the language section. The important topics for each section are mentioned below: The difficulty level of questions will be of senior secondary level. They must understand the needs, characteristics and psychology of the learners. They must choose the subject of the fourth section carefully. They can choose either Mathematics and Science or Social Studies.
