CMAT 2018 Cutoff for GIM (Goa Institute of Management)

Goa Institute of Management(GIM) is one of the best autonomous B-Schools in the country. CMAT cutoff for GIM has always above 90 percentile and it is expected to be the same this year too. Aspirants can apply for admission to post-graduate management courses in GIM on the basis of CMAT/CAT/GMAT/XAT score.

GIM provides full-time Post-Graduate Diploma in Management(PGDM), PGDM in Healthcare Management (HCM), and PGDM in Big Data Analytics (BDA). The institute is also a resource center for Ph.D. programs in Management for Goa University.

For admission to the academic year 2018 2020, aspirants have to take XAT 2018 or CAT 2017 or GMAT or CMAT 2018.

Expected Cutoff for CMAT 2018

AICTE organized CMAT 2018 on January 20, 2018, and the result is expected to announce in the third week of February 2018. Based on CMAT 2018 Result, Goa Institute of Management will shortlist aspirants for the face to face interaction, to provide admission into different PGDM programs provided by the institute. 

Based on earlier year trends, CMAT 2018 cutoff for Goa Institute of Management is expected to be in the range of 90-97 percentile.

GIM 2018 Eligibility Criteria

For PGDM, PGDM (HCM), and PGDM (BDA) at GIM, below is the eligibility criteria to fulfill:

  • Aspirants should have at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for aspirants belonging to SC / ST category) in a three-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
  • Aspirants in the final year of graduation are also applicable to apply offered they have obtained at least 50% aggregate in the last examination.
  • If a participant does not clear his/her graduation by June 5, 2018, or does not obtain 50% aggregate marks their candidature will be canceled.
  • Aspirants must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent (10+2+3) from a recognised university.

GIM via CMAT 2018 How to Apply?

Aspirants who wish to take admission to the PGDM programs at GIM need to take XAT 2018 or CAT-2017 or CMAT 2018. CMAT 2018 Registration is done via online method only.

Aspirants can follow these steps to apply at GIM for the academic session 2018-20:

  1. Visit the official website of GIM.
  2. Enter your name, date of birth and contact information.
  3. You will receive a username and password via email.
  4. Re-login and fill-in individual details, academic details, and select the course. 
  5. Upload scanned images of photograph and signature.
  6. Pay the application fee, either online or via demand draft.
  7. Verify all the details and accept the declaration by click on โ€œI Agreeโ€.
  8. Click on submit button to submit your application form.

NOTE: GIM application fee can be paid online through credit card/debit card/net banking or offline via Demand Draft. The application fee for General and OBC aspirants is INR 2400(+INR 300/extra course).

GIM 2018 Selection Procedure

Aspirants are shortlisted for all the PGDM programs on the basis of XAT, CAT, GMAT, or CMAT score. They are then called for a face-to-face evaluation i.e. interview procedure in different cities in early March 2018.  

The final selection of the participants for PGDM, PGDM (HCM), and PGDM (BDA) program shall be made on the basis of CMAT Score, face to face evaluation, past academic record, work experience (if any), and composite diversity index. The selection procedure is based on the following parameters:

  • Goa Institute of Management has selected these cities to organize face to face Evaluation round: Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Goa, Cochin, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi.
  • Goan domicile/origin aspirants are given relaxation of 15 points in the cut-off of XAT/CAT/GMAT/CMAT score.
  • The final selection will be based on the overall performance of the participant in all the aspects mentioned above. Getting a good score in CMAT 2018 does not guarantee selection for the program.
