CLAT 2019 Application Form

CLAT Application Form 2019 will be available from January, 2019 till Match, 2019 at the official website of CLAT. An LLB degree or equivalent from a recognised university is a requisite to fulfill the at least eligibility norm for LLM course. Aspirants are advised to go via the official notification uploaded on the website i.e. clat.ac.in to know the eligibility criteria and other updates. For LLB course, students should have qualified 10+2 exam.

CLAT 2019 Application Procedure is primarily divided into 3 main steps- Registration, Filling CLAT Application Form and Fee Payment. The application fees for General/ OBC/ SAP and other categories are INR 4000 while candidates of SC/ ST categories have to pay INR 3500 as fee payment. Almost 3000 seats in the NLUs are filled via CLAT. CLAT 2019 is a national level qualifying exam organized by NLUs on a rotational basis every year.

CLAT 2019 Online Application Procedure System (CAPS)

CAPS is an interface for candidates to interact with CLAT 2019, offered at CLAT website. Via CAPS, a student can:

  • Check and download CLAT Result and Scorecard
  • Download CLAT 2019 Hall Ticket
  • Check the status of their CLAT Application Form 2019
  • Register and apply for CLAT 2019

A partially filled CLAT Application Form 2019 can also be saved via CAPS. Students can resume the whole procedure by logging in again. They should not submit the application until it is filled clearly as any incomplete application will be rejected.

CLAT 2019 How to fill Application Form?

CLAT Application Form 2019 will be available in January 2019 on the official website i.e. www.clat.ac.in. The application forms can be submitted until March 2019. CLAT Registration 2019 will be considered clear only after paying the requisite application fees within the stipulated period. CLAT Application Procedure 2019 includes 3 main steps- Registration, Filling CLAT Application Form and Paying Application fee.

Pre-requisites for filling CLAT Application Form 2019

  • Category certificate
  • Mark memos up to graduation level (Class 10, 12 and Graduation degree)
  • Domicile certificate for consideration under the State Quota
  • Details of payment mode
  • NRI/ NRI sponsored certificate for supporting claim
  • Scanned images of Photograph, Signature and DOB certificate (Class 10 certificate, Birth certificate, Aadhaar card, etc.)
  • Soft copy of SAP certificate
  • Valid email ID and mobile number for registration

Aspirants can fill CLAT 2019 Application Form by following these steps.

Step 1: Registration

  • Click on the link ‘Apply for CLAT 2019 LLB/ LLM Program’ to begin the online registration procedure.
  • Aspirants will be assigned CAPS User ID and Password which will be sent to the registered Email ID and Mobile Number within 5 minutes post Registration.
  • Use this password and User ID to log in and fill the application form.
  • The registration form will appear wherein personals have to offer their name, date of birth, nationality, valid email address and a mobile number for the purpose of registration.
  •  Click on ‘Submit’.
  • Candidates should select the option of ‘Register yourself’.
  • Go to the official website of CLAT i.e. www.clat.ac.in

Step 2: Filling of Application Form

  • They should fill up Individual details, Qualification details, Preferences for NLU, Upload documents and enter Fee details.
  • Participants will see CLAT Application Form 2019 once logged in.
  • Applicants must upload scanned images of their passport sized photograph (should be taken after January 1, 2019), signature and Date of the Birth certificate with the specifications mentioned below.

Note: SC/ ST and SAP category students must also upload a valid certificate to support their claim.

Step 3: Payment of Application Fees

  • Participants must pay the non-refundable application fees of CLAT 2019 via online or offline mode.
  • After completion of all the above steps, a confirmation page will be generated which should be printed out for future correspondence.
  • Fees can be remitted through Debit/ Credit card, Net Banking or by e-Challan (ICICI bank).
  • Students must enter the need payment details on the bank page, save a soft copy of the receipt of the transaction and print it out.

Reasons for Rejection of CLAT 2019 Application Form:

The organizing body might reject CLAT 2019 Application Form due to any of the following reasons:

  • A form for which fee payment has not been finished
  • If the face of students in the photograph or if signature is unclear in the application, it may be rejected
  • A form without photograph, signature and DOB certificate

CLAT 2019 How to retrieve Password?

Students will be assigned CAPS User ID and Password for CLAT 2019 during the registration and application procedure. In case an personal forgets his password, then he can follow the steps said below to retrieve it:

  • Applicants should then enter their registered email ID and captcha code given on the page.
  • Log on to the registered person’s login page and enter your User ID.
  • A link to generate new password will be sent to the person by email.
  • Click on ‘Forgot Password’.

Ques. What do I require to possess for online CLAT 2019 Registration?
Ans. Students required to have an active e-mail id and a mobile number for online registration procedure of CLAT 2019. The login credentials will be sent to the email address and mobile number.

Ques. I haven’t received CLAT 2019 user ID or password on my email account and mobile number. What should be done?
Ans. Participants should wait for 2 hours as there may be a network jam or any server concerned issue. In case, they don’t receive the login credentials within 24 hours of online registration, then they required to re-register for CLAT 2019 and ensure that they offer accurate details.
