Normalisation is a procedure for ensuring that students are neither advantaged nor disadvantaged by the difficulty of exams that they do for the Boards. When an exam is organizeed in multiple slots, then we know there can be variations in the difficulty level of the exams. To adjust this variation in difficulty level at various slots, normalization is done. Organizing exams in various slots mean, there will be a variation in the difficulty level of the exams.
