Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will announce the result for CDS Exam which is scheduled for February 4, 2018. All the shortlisted aspirants will be called for SSB interview. Call letters will be successfully posted on the student’s logins on official websites of respective Indian armed forces discipline or mailed to the student’s registered mail ID.
SSB is a test that takes 5 days to reach the students and decide whether the students are appropriate for job or not. But student’s final selection depends over the conference. Students have to prepare for an individual interview, GTO and psychology tests.

The conference is commenced on the 5th day of SSB Testing. In the conference, all the assessors of the particular board including president and deputy president collectively discuss and prepare students result of 5 days testing.
It is the final event of the five-day testing procedure. The board conference is organized by the president, Deputy President, and all the assessors that are the GTOs, Psychologists and Interviewing officers. Each aspirant is screened by all the three assessors who examined the student’s performance independently using the specific technique. The final recommendation, suitability of the aspirant as well as final marks will be honored to each of the aspirants. Before the board conference, students will be asked to appear personally. During the conference, some questions will be asked of the students. For taking the final judgment about the aspirant, the detailed procedure of validation and counter validation is undertaken.
Technical officer of Board is responsible for announcing the result. On the other hand, all the students who have successfully completed the CDS examination and are also advisable by the board will stay for the medical examination which takes minimum one-week period. Students who are unable to complete the CDS examination will not be able to take admission.
The closing address is generally given by the Deputy President of the board before the Board Conference. During the address, the officer will tell the highlights of the selection system and also explains about the qualities that Armed forces are looking for in the student’s individuality. Participants can also put forward any complaint or problem or can give any suggestion that they have experienced during their stay at SSB. They also offer the clarification to any doubts or the questions raised by the aspirants.
After the declaration of the result, all the shortlisted or advisable aspirants can appear for the medical examination. NDA students are examined for both Army and Navy. President of Medical Board will guide aspirants for Appeal/ Review Medical Board processes. To clear the medical board, the procedure takes total 4 to 5 working days for the related military department and after that, the aspirants are dispersed. In the case, if students have declared unfit then they can seek advice from President Special Medical Board for review/ appeal.
