CBSE UGC NET 2018 Application Form availability will start from October 2017. On behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organizes the National Eligibility Test (NET) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the post of Assistant Professor or Junior Research Fellowship.

  • For the aspirants belonging to general category, the application fee is INR 600.

  • Aspirants are advised to apply for the subject of their post-graduation only.
  • PhD degree holders, who cleared their Master degree program by the year of 1991, will be applicable for availing the benefits of 5% relaxation in marks.
  • The aspirants appearing for the final year exams of their Master degree are also applicable to apply for CBSE UGC NET 2018.
  • The participants belonging to the for OBC/PWD/SC/ST category must have the at least aggregate marks of 50% (without rounding off) in their Master’s degree or its equivalent exam
  • The participants belonging to the general category must have the at least aggregate marks of 55% (without rounding off) in their Master’s degree or its equivalent exam

Eligibility criteria based on Age Limit of the aspirant:

Below listed are the eligibility criteria for CBSE UGC NET 2018 based on the Age Limit of the aspirant.

  • No upper age limitation for Assistant Professor.

For Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), the aspirant should not be more than 28 years of age. Participants from OBC (Non-Creamy Layer/ PWD/ SC/ ST) category can get a 5 years relaxation in age limit.

Aspirants applying for CBSE UGC NET 2018 exam required to visit the official site of CBSE NET – www.cbsenet.nic.in.

Step 1: Form Filling

  • Click on the UGC NET 2018 application form link.
  • Fill up all the requested data in the application form like subject opted, exam centre opted, individual details, address and educational qualification.
  • Application number will be generated, save this for future references.
  • Choose a password and security question along with a response and submit the data.

Step 2: Uploading Images

  • Aspirants required to upload their scanned passport size photograph and signature image files as per the resolutions are given in the official website.
  • When all the documents are uploaded correctly, click on apply.
  • Signature in JPost Graduate pattern of at least 4kb to 30 kb. The dimension of the signature should be 3.5 cm (width) x 1.5 cm (height).
  • Passport size photograph in JPost Graduate pattern of at least 4kb to 40 kb. The dimension of the photograph should be 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height).

Step 3: Make Payment

  • Aspirant required to make the payment online via their debit card or credit card or via net banking facility.
  • For the aspirants belonging to general category, the application fee is INR 600.
  • For the aspirants belonging to OBC (Other Backward Caste) category, the application fee is INR 300.
  • For the aspirants belonging to SC / ST (Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribes) category, the application fee is INR 150.
  • The provision for application fee payment via e-Challan is also available.

Step 4: Print Application Form

  • Take a print out of the CBSE UGC NET 2018 application form and application fee payment receipt for future reference.
