CAT Cutoff & Eligibility Criteria 2018 for IIM Ahmedabad

IIM Ahmedabad Selection Criteria 2018 has announced. Aspirants want admission in Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) for the academic year 2018-20 can apply at IIM Ahmedabad Website i.e. iima.ac.in. The application form is available until January 22 and the fee is INR 500 for all categories.

  • IIM Ahmedabad Selection Criteria involves 2 steps- Completing CAT, Academic Writing Test (AWT) and Individual Interview (PI). 
  • WAT and PI will be organized on the same day. Aspirants shortlisted for the PI procedure will have to take WAT on a topic offered by IIM Bangalore. Check CAT Result
  • CAT Cut Off is expected to be 80 percentile this year.
  • For foreign nationals, GMAT total scaled score of minimum 720 will be accepted.

Eligibility Criteria for IIM Ahmedabad FPM Program

FPM admits aspirants who are highly motivated and have a strong academic background. Aspirants must hold any one of the following qualifications to apply for IIM Ahmedabad’s FPM: This programme prepares students for a career in research in positions or academia in an industry.

  • A 4 year/ 8-semester bachelor degree with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade point average.  
  • 5 year/ 4 years integrated master’s degree program in any branch with minimum 55% marks secured after completing 10+2 or equivalent.
  • The qualifying marks for reserved category aspirants is 45%.
  • Final year aspirants can also apply.
  • To qualify as an Indian resident abroad, an aspirant should be an Indian passport holder who expects to live, work or study outside India for minimum 12 months continuously as on December 30, 2017.

  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks secured after an at least of 3 years of education after completing 10+2 or equivalent.
  • A valid GMAT Score for Foreign aspirants. GMAT taken before December 15, 2015 is not valid.
  • A professional qualification such as CA, ICWA or CS with minimum 55% marks.
  • Master’s degree in any branch with minimum 55% marks

Application Procedure 2018 for IIM Ahmedabad

  • The application form for IIM Ahmedabad’s Fellow Programme in Management is available online on the official website of IIMA.
  • Application forms have to be filled online by paying an application fee of INR 500 via IIMA payment gateway. Foreign aspirants have to pay $100.
  • IIM Ahmedabad FPM admission procedure consists of CAT/ GRE/ GMAT/ UGC-JRF/ GATE, it varies for various areas, past academic performance and interview performance.
The last date for receiving finished applications from overseas Indian aspirants at IIMA is December 15, 2017.

  3. Go to the Admissions & Eligibility tab

Admission Process 2018 for IIM Ahmedabad

Aspirants applying for IIM Ahmedabad FPM need to have undergone more than 15 years (10+2+3 years) of education and a valid CAT 2016 score or a standard test in lieu of CAT 2016. The standard test for Foreign and NRI aspirants is GMAT (Graduate Management Aptitude Test). However, the standard score is not needed if an aspirant is-

  • PGPX/ PGP-PMP Alumni of any IIM where such courses are provided
  • PGP Alumni of any IIM

Various areas of IIMA have specified various standard tests that aspirants applying to the FPM in their areas can take in lieu of CAT. It should be noted that validity of scores other than CAT Exam is valid only for 2 years from the date of the test to the deadline for submission of IIM Ahmedabad FPM application form. The selected group of aspirants will be called for individual interview after evaluating the submitted applications. Advisable aspirants will be preferred for an interview for FPM selection procedure. Interviews will be taken by the faculty and members of the FPM Executive and Committee for admission. Interviews will be held from February 15- March 20, 2018.
