Aspirants ready to pursue PGDM from LIBA must complete CAT Cut off 2017. They are further called for group discussion and individual interview rounds for the final selection.

LIBA Chennai has a two-step admission procedure wherein personals must qualify each round to advance to the next. The steps involved in securing a seat in LIBA PGDM program are as follows:
For the purpose of shortlisting participants for PI and other rounds, various weights are assigned to the scores of various sections of CAT. LIBA, Chennai will compute a composite score based on only CAT 2017 scores which will be used for selecting candidates for the PI round. The weight given to various sections of CAT is given below: This will be done to encourage Gender and Academic Diversity.

LIBA gives weight to academic profile as well. Also, aspirants with a history of more than two backlogs must not apply. So, the aspirants should have a consistent academic record of at least 60% marks in class X, XII & Graduation.

Aspirants who complete the CAT or XAT cut off as laid down by the institute are called for GD and PI rounds. These two components have a weight in the final composite score. All these rounds will be conducted by LIBA at Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, New Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai. Participants must attend these rounds as per the schedule released by the institute.

A total of 120 seats are available at LIBA Chennai for its full-time PGDM program. LIBA is a minority institution, so, 50% of the seats are reserved for minority aspirants. There is no reservation for SC/ST or NRI aspirants. The seats available for each category are as follows:
