BITSAT 2019 Exam Pattern

BITSAT Exam Format 2019 will be decided by BITS Pilani, the exam organizing authority for BITSAT. BITSAT 2019 is a 3-hour online, computer-based exam divided into 4 sections for maximum marks of 450. It will be organized in May 2019.

This national level engineering entrance exam offers admissions to Integrated First Degree Programmes of Engineering at all the three campuses of BITS - Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad. Know more about the BITSAT Exam Format 2019 here.

BITSAT Exam Format 2019 Details

BITSAT 2019 will be held in online method tentatively in May 2019. The question paper will have a total of 150 questions from four sections, time allotted for which is 3 hours.

However, if some aspirants clear all 150 questions in stipulated time, he/she will get the opportunity to get extra 12 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

  • This could be only possible if they have skipped any question from the 150 questions. Moreover, they will not be able to make any changes in the 150 questions they have attempted previously.
  • All questions will be objective type and aspirants have to choose 1 accurate response out of the 4 response options available.
  • 3 marks will be honored for every accurate response while for each inaccurate answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
  • For questions that are not attempted, no marks will be given.
  • The total time period for the exam is 3 hours and there is no time limit to attempt any section.
  • If aspirants are able to response all 150 questions within the given 3 hours, they can attempt an additional 12 questions (four each from Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry only).

BITSAT 2019 Syllabus

BITSAT Syllabus 2019 is generally based on NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th class of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. While English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning do not have any specific syllabus and thus will be based on aptitude.
