Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examinations Board (BCECEB) 2019

BCECE 2019 is a state-level exam organizeed by Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examinations Board (BCECEB) annually. It is a gateway for admitting candidates into Engineering, Medical, Agriculture and Pharmacy courses provideed by the participating colleges. 

Some key features of BCECE 2019 are said below:

  • The at least eligibility to apply for BCECE is qualifying 10+2 exam with PCB/ PCM as mandatory subjects.

  • The application fee is INR 660 (INR 330 for SC/ ST category) which can be paid in both online and offline mode.
  • Aspirants can download their hall ticket few days prior to the respective exam. 
  • Stage 1 will be held in April 2019 while Stage 2 will be held in May 2019.
  • It is organizeed separately for a various set of subjects i.e. PCB, PCM and PCMB.
  • BCECE 2019 Result will be declared within 2 weeks of organizing the respective stage of the exam.
  • BCECE 2019 application form will announce in February 2019.
  • Result for both the stages will be declared separately.

BCECE 2019 scores will be accepted by several governments and private institutes across the state. The test is held in 2 stages every year wherein participants who qualify stage 1 will advance to the next stage.

Eligibility Criteria of BCECE 2019 

The eligibility criteria for BCECE 2019 is set up by the organizing board. Inability to meet the same may lead to disqualification of the aspirant. Eligibility criteria for BCECE 2019 are as said below: Personals must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility norms before applying for the entrance exam.

Nationality:

Candidate must be a citizen of India so as to be applicable for BCECE 2019.

Age Limit:

Certain courses have age restrictions which are as given below-

  • For medical courses, an aspirant should have attained 17 years of age as on December 31 of the examination year.
  • There is no age limit prescribed for engineering and pharmacy courses.
  • The at least age limit for agriculture courses is 17 years as on July 1, 2019.

Educational qualification:

  • They should secure an at least aggregate of 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category) in the qualifying examination.
  • Aspirants should have passed or appeared for 10+2 (or equivalent) examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Mathematics as mandatory subjects.

Application Form of BCECE 2019 

BCECE 2019 Application Form will be available in February 2019. Applicants will need to fill up general details like individual information and academic qualifications in the form. The application forms can be filled through the online method only on the official website www.bceceboard.com. The registration and application procedure consists of 4 steps which are given below:

  • Fill BCECE 2019 Application form and upload need documents.
  • Online registration by providing basic details to create aspirant’s login account.
  • The final step is the submission of application form by post.
  • Payment of application fee through offline or online mode.

How to fill BCECE 2019 Application Form?

Candidates can follow the steps give below to apply for the exam:

Step 1: Registration

  • Log on to the official BCECE website i.e. www.bceceboard.com
  • Enter details including name, mobile number and email ID and click on ‘Submit’.
  • They will receive their Registration number and Password via SMS and email upon successful registration.
  • Click on ‘Apply for BCECE 2019’

Step 2: Fee Payment

  • The amount of application fee will vary as per the category and subject combination are chosen by participants.
  • Fees can be rendered via both offline (bank challan) and online method (Credit/ Debit card, Net banking).
  • Aspirants must then login using their registration number and password.

Step 3: Filling BCECE 2019 Application form

  • Candidates must then fill the Part A form wherein they must offer their individual and communication details.
  • They must then upload scanned images of their recent passport size photograph and signature as per the given specifications.
  • Take a print out of both Part A and Part B forms to clear further steps.
  • Students will also have to fill the Part B form and enter their academic information. Cross-check all the details and click on ‘Submit’.

Step 4: Submitting BCECE 2019 application form and enclosures by post.

  • Candidates must then submit a hard copy of Part A and Part B form along with necessary enclosures to the following address:

  • The enclosures will be mentioned in the prospectus of the exam and will comprise Mark sheet/ Admit card of Class 12 exam, caste certificate, disability certificate, income certificate, etc.

Application Fee of BCECE 2019 

Personals can pay the application fees for BCECE 2019 by cash, card or net banking. Fees should be paid within the stipulated time as per category and subject combination. The procedure for paying the fees through each mode is given below:

  • Offline method: Participants can also pay by cash by taking a print out of the bank challan and submit it to the nearest discipline of the respective bank.
  • Online method: Applicants can choose any 1 out of the 3 options- Pay by Net Banking or Debit/ Credit Card.

Hall Ticket of BCECE 2019

BCECE 2019 Hall Ticket will be alloted to aspirants who have successfully registered for the exam. Admit cards should be downloaded from the official website of the organizing authority.

Steps to download BCECE 2019 Hall Ticket are given below:

  • Click on the link concerned to ‘Download BCECE 2019 Hall Ticket’
  • Admit card will appear on the screen.
  • Enter registration number and date of birth/ password.
  • Log on to the official website of BCECE 2019 i.e. bceceboard.com.
  • Verify all the details given on it and print out 2 coloured copies of it.

Exam Centers of BCECE 2019

BCECE 2019 will be organizeed in about 40 centres across Bihar including a centre in Jharkhand. They should fill up the exam centre code in the application form. Applicants will be allowed to choose their preferred exam centre while applying for the exam. The BCECEB will allow a centre to the aspirants and the venue of the centre will be mentioned in the hall ticket.


Exam Format of BCECE 2019

BCECE 2019 is a pen and paper-based test (offline test) and will be organizeed in the English and Hindi medium. It is organizeed in 2 stages and only those who qualify both stages will be able to participate in the counselling procedure. The question paper will have objective type questions. Here are some highlights of BCECE 2019 exam format:

Stage 1

  • Each section includes 50 questions.
  • It includes multiple choice questions divided into 4 sections i.e. PCMB. 
  • The period of the test will be 2 hours and 15 minutes.
  • Students must attempt the sections according to the subject combination they have chosen.
  • +4 marks will be given for every accurate response and one mark will be deducted in case of a wrong response.

Stage 2

  • It will also have 4 sections which have to be solved within 1 hour 30 minutes.
  • +4 marks will be given for every accurate response and one mark will be deducted for the wrong response.
  • Each section will have 100 questions.
  • Only those personals who qualify Stage 1 can appear in Stage 2 exam.

Syllabus of BCECE 2019 

BCECE syllabus 2019 will be based on 10+2 knowledge of aspirants in respective subjects. The entrance exam will consist of questions covering all the topics taught in Class 11 and 12. Students must study all chapters of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics and Agriculture of 10+2 level.


Result of BCECE 2019

BCECE result 2019 will be declared within 2 weeks of organizing each stage of the exam. The results of both stages can be checked by following these few steps: The results will be released on the official BCECEB website in the form of a rank list. Only those students who have qualified the Stage 1 exam will be able to appear for the next stage.

The organizing board will publish a Merit list for BCECE 2019 prepared on the basis of the performance of participants in both the stages of the examination i.e. Stage 1 and Stage 2. The preparation of merit list is subjective to the availability of seats for various courses i.e. on a Merit-cum-seat availability basis. Aspirants whose names are enlisted in the merit lists of both stages will be applicable for BCECE 2019 counselling.


Cut Off of BCECE 2019

Participants must secure at least marks as prescribed by the organizing board to qualify both stages of BCECE 2019. The cut off will be decided based on a number of factors like difficulty level of exam, number of applications, number of seats, earlier years’ cut off, etc.

Candidates must complete BCECE 2019 cut off for Stage 1 to qualify to the next round. Aspirants can look at earlier year's at least marks need to qualify the premier stage below.

Note: This is only the qualifying cut off and the actual cut off will vary depending on the course and the institute.


Counseling of BCECE 2019 

BCECE 2019 Counseling will begin likely from July 2019. It will be organizeed in many rounds at the designated counseling centres. They must attend counseling sessions as per the schedule uploaded on the website. Personals who qualify the 2nd stage must download their counseling letter from BCECEB website. The counselling procedure will take place via 6 steps which are-

  • Document verification: Candidates must then download their final seat allocation letter and report to the allotted counselling letter. They must carry certain documents for verification as also the prescribed fee to the center.
  • Provisional seat allocation letter: After completing the 2nd step, aspirants must download the provisional seat allocation letter and carry it to the designated counselling centre.
  • Registration: This is a compulsory step for all qualified aspirants. Candidates must fill the online counselling form available on the official website.
  • Choice filling: Students must then login using their registration credentials and practice their preferences regarding the desired institute. They can fill their choices and lock their seats online via this form.
  • Seat allocation: Participants must log in to view their final seat allocation status after handwriting verification is done.
  • Handwriting verification: This is a uniform procedure which involves a collection of a handwriting specimen of the aspirant to ensure its authenticity.

Document verification:

Participants must report to the counselling centre with certain documents which will be verified by the officials. These documents are:

  • BCECE 2019 Hall Ticket for Stage 1 and Stage 2
  • Class 10 and 12 Mark Sheet, Admit Card and Passing Certificate
  • Counselling letter from BCECE
  • Copy of 6 Photographs as used in BCECE 2019 Application Form
  • Final BCECE 2019 Allocation Letter
  • Category/ Disability Certificate (if eligible)
