BHU (Banaras Hindu University) Law Entrance Test 2018 Application Form

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) Law Entrance Test 2018 Application Form will be announced on the official website, www.bhuonline.in in the 4th week of January. The application method is online and there is no offline method of applying.

  • The last date for the submission of the online application form and the application fee payment will be in the 4th week of February 2018.
  • Aspirants are advised to cautiously check the course-wise eligibility criteria before starting the application process.
  • The application process consists of the following steps.
  1. Registration
  2. Account activation and validation
  3. Selection of Course
  4. Application form filling and Test Center preferences
  5. Uploading of Photograph and Signature
  6. Application Fee Payment.
  • Aspirants required to have high quality scanned images of recent passport size colour photograph and signature done on white paper using blue/black ball point pen.
  • Size of the files containing the photograph and signature cannot exceed 100kb and the resolution of the scanned image must be within 100 dpi.
  • Aspirants must have a valid email id and mobile number since all communication from the organizing authority is done thru these means.

BHU Law Entrance Exam for Under Graduate courses is scheduled to be organizeed in the 3rd week of May 2018 and test for the Post Graduate courses is scheduled to be organizeed in the 3rd week of June 2018.

Eligibility for BHU Law Entrance Test 2018

Aspirants must thoroughly check the course wise eligibility criteria before starting the application procedure.

Eligibility criteria for each of the course are given below.

  1. LLB (Hons.):
  • Aspirants should have acquired their B.Sc/B.Com/B.A or any other degree in 10+2+3 format from a recognised university.
  • Aspirants should have obtained an at least of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree examination.
  1. B.A. LLB:
  • Alternatively, aspirants must be appearing for their Higher Secondary or equivalent board examination that year.
  • Aspirants should have obtained a at least of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination. Relaxation of at least aggregate marks for students belonging to reserved categories is eligible. (45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST).
  • Aspirants should have finished their Higher Secondary (10+2) board or equivalent examination from a recognised board.
  1. LLM/LLM (HRDE)/LLM (under the special course of study):
  • Alternatively, aspirants must be appearing for the qualifying LLB examination that year.
  • Aspirants must have secured an at least of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying LLB examination.
  • Aspirants should have finished 3 years of LLB or 5 years of LLB from a recognised university.
  1. PhD (full time):
  • Aspirants who have not appeared/qualified in the NET/JRF must appear for the Common Entrance Research Test (CRET) organizeed by BHU.

How to Fill the BHU Law Entrance Test 2018 Application Form?

The entire application process for the BHU Law Entrance 2018 is online. There is no alternate way for applying.

After submission of the online application, aspirants must take a print out of the same and keep it safely for future reference. However, there is no required to send a hard copy of the filled application to BHU.

Moreover, there is no required for attaching any documents apart from the scanned images of aspirant’s photograph and signature.

Before starting to fill the application, candidates must make sure they have the following documents/information willing with them.

  • Net Banking/Credit/Debit Card credentials in case of online payment of application fee
  • Reach to the internet (good connection), printer and scanner
  • Valid Email Id and Mobile Number
  • Scanned images of aspirant’s photograph and signature in a prescribed pattern

After ensuring the above, aspirants can then follow the given steps to successfully apply.

Step 1: Registration

  1. Visit the official website (www.bhuonline.in) for registration.
  2. Click on ‘Apply for Admission’ link.
  3. At the new page, click on ‘Register yourself’ link.
  4. After cautiously going via all the guidelines fill in all the necessary details including email Id and mobile number, cautiously.
  5. Click on the ‘Sign Up’ link after filling all the need details.

Step 2: Activation and validation

  1. Upon clicking on the ‘Sign Up’ link, a confirmation message is displayed on the screen.
  2. An activation email is sent to the registered email id and a validation code is sent through SMS to the registered mobile number.
  3. Click on the activation link sent through email. Enter the verification code sent through SMS when asked for the same.
  4. Now, the account is activated and Login for further completion of application is possible.

Step 3: Select courses

  1. After Login to the aspirants can see the ‘Status of Submitted Applications’ page.
  2.  Select eligible course name and type form the list offered in the drop down boxes after cautiously going via the eligibility criteria which is displayed.
  3. In case of applying for more than one course, click on the ‘Add Course’ link.

Step 4: Filling up of Application and Test Centers

  1. After selecting the courses, aspirants are directed to a new page.
  2. On the left side panel of this new page, the following options are present.
  • Test Center Preference
  • Application Status
  • Application Details
  • Upload Photograph and Signature
  • Back to My Application
  • Delete Application form
  1. In order to clear and submit the application, aspirants must click on the ‘Application Details’ link.
  2. At the new page, some details which were submitted at the time of registration are already filled.
  3. Proceed to fill the remaining details asked.
  4. After filling details, click on ‘Save and Continue’ link.
  5. Now click on the ‘Test Center Preference’ link.
  6. Choose Test Centers in order of preference from the drop-down menu box.
  7. Click on ‘Save and Continue’

Step 5: Upload of Photograph and Signature

  1. After selecting Test Center preferences, aspirants can move on to upload the scanned images of passport sized photograph and signature in the prescribed pattern. Aspirants can follow the guidelines mentioned for uploading.

Step 6: Payment:

Application Fee for the BHU Law Entrance Test 2018 can be paid either in the online method or in the offline (challan) mode.

  1. Online mode:

Aspirants can pay the need application fee in one of the following online methods.

  1. Net Banking
  2. Credit/Debit Card

Aspirants must note that there is an additional charge of Rs. 10/- against online service fee.

After completing the registration and application filling the part, aspirants can pay the application fee by clicking on the ‘Continue for Online Payment’ link.

  1. Offline mode:

Aspirants can pay the application fee through challan payment at any discipline of HDFC bank. The challan can be downloaded from the online entrance test portal at the time of applying.

After completing the registration part, aspirants can download the challan by clicking on the ‘Cash Payment via HDFC Bank’.

Application Fee

BHU Law Application Fee has to be paid in order to clear the application process.

After uploading, click on the ‘Make Payment’ link from the dashboard.

The application fee for the aspirants belonging to various categories is shown in the table below.

  • If aspirants are wishing to apply for more than one course, the application fee for each additional following course is INR 200.
  • Aspirants belonging to General/Other category have to pay application fee of INR 500 if they are applying for one course only.
  • Aspirants belonging to the SC/ST category have to pay application fee of INR 250 if they are applying for only one course.
  • If aspirants are wishing to apply for more than one course, the application fee for each additional following course is INR 100.

Application Form Status of BHU Law Entrance Test 2018 Application Form

To know if the application status is successfully submitted, click on the ‘My Applications’ link in the dashboard.

The application is successfully submitted if ‘Entrance test fee Paid’ is displayed under the Application Status column.

Also, upon successful payment of application fee, an email is sent to the registered email id stating that the application is successfully submitted.

Please note that it is not possible to delete the application form once it has been successfully submitted.
