APICET Exam Pattern 2018

APICET 2018 is the entry level test for aspirants want admission into the Master of Computer Application (MCA) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses for the academic session 2018-19, in reputed universities and institutions of Andhra Pradesh.

  • Aspirants have to solve 200 multiple choice questions, each question carries 1 mark.
  • The examination is organized in offline (pen paper based) method only.
  • Maximum time allowed to attempt the question paper is 150 minutes or 2.5 hours.
  • APICET 2018 question paper consists of objective type questions.
  • APICET test is designed to assess one’s mathematical skills, accuracy, and aptitude for admission into MCA/MBA programme.
  • APICET or Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test is organized in the month of May every year.
  • In 2017, the exam was organized by Sri Venkateswara University on behalf of the APSCHE.
  • Out of the four given options, only one is correct.

Andhra Pradesh University on behalf of APSCHE or Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education regulates the organization of this examination. Notification regarding the exam is announced on the official website of APSCHE every year in the month of February.

APICET Exam Format 2018 Details

Most of the entrance tests for admission into MBA courses check the student’s problem solving and analytical skills. APICET is a test to measure the aspirant’s ability to think systematically, to use his/her verbal and communication skills and to evaluate his/her general aptitude.

  • APICET 2018 question paper is divided into three sections- A, B, and C.
  • The aspirant can obtain a maximum of 200 marks by solving the 200 questions given in the paper.
  • Section A is Analytical ability, Section B includes of Mathematical ability and Section C examines the student’s Communication Skills.

APICET 2018 Marking Scheme

The aspirant is honored with one mark for every accurate response. Total 200 questions are to be the response by a student.

  • There is no negative marking in the APICET exam for inaccurate responses.
  • There are no special types of questions.
  • If an aspirant marks more than one option in any question, the question is ignored. No marks are given.
  • Each question carries 1 mark.
  • No special marking for various subjects or topics is there.
  • Accurate responses yield one mark to the student.
  • No marks are given if the question is not attempted.

Exam Syllabus for APICET 2018

Knowing the exam’s syllabus helps the students in the preparation as well as in the time management during the exam. You can pre-plan you time and work according to the planned timetable. 

APICET syllabus does not contain any core academic subjects rather it comprises subjects like Analytical ability, Mathematics and Verbal communication and reading. The level of the questions is of 12th standard examination and a little higher.

APICET 2018 Important Instructions

Aspirants appearing for the APICET 2018 will be given an Optical Mark Reader (OMR) response sheet to mark their answers to the questions. Read the examination instructions properly written on the very first page of the AP ICET 2018 question paper. The aspirants must follow the instructions given below to avoid their responses sheet becoming invalid.

  • Darken the suitable bubbles cautiously.
  • Do not use HB pencil under any circumstances.
  • Do not write or make any mark on the OMR sheet.
  • Go via the marking scheme given in the instructions.
  • Aspirants have to mark their responses in the offered OMR sheet.
  • Carry your APICET hall ticket and Aadhar card.
  • The only use of black or blue ballpoint pen is allowed.
