AP PGECET 2018 Exam Format- AP PGECET 2018 consists of 120 multiple choice objective type questions within the period of 2 hours. As per the earlier trends, it is expected that there will be no negative marking for the inaccurate answers in AP PGECET 2018. The break of the questions among the sections is as follows The topics covered in the exam are Mathematics, Aptitude, and qualifying degree major.
For appearing in the exam, aspirants should have obtained Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in the relevant field with minimum 50% marks (45% in case of reserved category aspirants) from an AICTE/UGC approved institution recognised by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent for admission into the relevant M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Pharmacy courses.
Andhra Pradesh PG Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) Exam is organized in May by JNTU Kakinada on the behalf of A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The format is designed to identify meritorious and motivated aspirants for admission to PG programmes in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy and Graduate level Pharm-D(PB). It is the State level common entrance exam for admission into regular Post Graduate courses in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy (M.E/M.Tech/ M.Pharm), Graduate level Pharm-D.

The exam is organized for a period of 120 minutes. The total number of questions to be solved is 120 giving each question an average of 1 minute to be solved. Aspirants are however advised to cover the easy section at first to save time for complex and hard problems.
Maximum marks that can be obtained in AP PGECET 2018 is 120 with each question holding exactly 1 mark. Unlike GATE and other major postgraduate entrance, AP PGECET does not entertain negative marking in its paper and thus aspirants can attempt as many questions as they seeking in the exam.
AP PGECET 2018 will also be organized for admission to pharmacy streams. In AP PGECET Pharmacy, the total of 120 questions is from the graduation subjects with varying weight.

Linear Algebra: Vector algebra, Matrix algebra, systems of linear equations, the rank of a matrix, eigenvalues and eigenvectors.
Calculus: Functions of single variable, limits, continuity and differentiability, mean value theorem, chain rule, partial derivatives, maxima and minima, gradient, divergence and curl, directional derivatives. Integration, Line, surface and volume integrals. Theorems of Stokes, Gauss, and Green.

Aptitude is considered to be the most basic required to study engineering and continue higher studies in it. AP PGECET exam tests aspirants’ logical aptitude and their approach to check their engineer antenna and their proficiency in solving logical problems in at least time possible. Verbal Ability: English grammar, sentence completion, verbal analogies, word groups, instructions, critical reasoning and verbal deduction.
