AIPVT (All India Pre-Veterinary Test) Result 2018

AIPVT 2018 Result is expected to be declared in the third week of June. AIPVT Score Card is published on the official site, aipvt.vci.nic.in. Aspirants have to log in with the need credentials to view the result.

  • AIPVT 2018 result is released in the form of scorecard and merit list.
  • Separate merit lists are published for 15% All India Quota seats and state quota seats.
  • Veterinary Council of India will also release the AIPVT 2017 Cut off.
  • VCC (Veterinary Counseling Committee) is responsible for organizing counseling for 15% All India Quota Seats.
  • Aspirants shortlisted on the basis of AIPVT 2017 Score are need to participate in the counseling procedure.

How to check Result AIPVT 2018?

AIPVT 2018 result is declared online on the official website of Veterinary Council of India (VCI). Aspirants can view their result by entering the registration number, roll number mentioned in the hall ticket alloted by VCI and security pin.

Steps to check AIPVT 2018 Result are mentioned below:

  • Click submit
  • Click on the result tab
  • Log in to the official site of VCI
  • Enter all the need credentials (Name, registration number and roll number)
  • View the result

Participants must take a print out of your AIPVT 2018 Score Card for the purpose of verification at latter stages.


Details on AIPVT Score Card 2018

The scorecard is a very crucial document for taking part in counseling and reporting for admission thereafter. AIPVT 2018 Score Card will be alloted for all the aspirants who successfully appear for the entrance test.

Aspirants require their registration number and roll number to view the scorecard. They can download their respective cards and get it printed for further counseling and admission in the desired colleges.

  • Go to the official website of VCI.
  • Enter the credentials (Roll Number and Password).
  • Download the Score Card.
  • Take a print out of the scorecard

Qualifying Marks of AIPVT 2018

  • A total number of questions in the examination is 180 and each question carries 4 marks each.
  • Normalization of marks includes the total percentile of marks according to which rank is calculated and students are allowed for counseling in various colleges.
  • A total number of marks for the AIPVT 2018 examination is 720.

The calculation of the aspirant’s percentile is based on their rank secured in comparison to other aspirants. The qualifying percentile for various categories in AIPVT 2018 is tabulated below:

The process to calculate the score based on the marking scheme of the AIPVT 2018 exam is mentioned below:

  • For un-attempted responses, the student will score 0 marks.
  • For more than one marked response, -1 will be deducted.
  • For every accurate response, the aspirant will score 4 marks.
  • For each inaccurate response, -1 will be deducted.

Response Key of AIPVT 2018

AIPVT 2018 Response Key will be made available on the official website of VCI (Veterinary Council of India) for aspirants who have appeared in the exam. Students can go via the response key to verify their responses in the exam and also calculate their approximate score.

AIPVT 2018 is tentatively scheduled for the 2nd week of May and the response key is expected to be published until the 1st week of June on the official site of VCI. Also, aspirants have the option to challenge the official response key in case of ambiguity on the council’s website, aipvt.vci.nic.inThe final judgement shall be taken by a Committee of Subject(s).

Merit List of AIPVT 2018

VCI prepares AIPVT 2018 Merit List on the basis of aspirants’ performance in the exam. The merit lists are published after the releasement of the result. VCI prepares separate merit lists for admission to 15% All India Quota Seats and remaining state quota seats.

Merit List for 15% All India Quota Seats

  • Counseling is organizeed by Veterinary Council of India, New Delhi.
  • Seats will be situated to waitlisted aspirants only after the main merit list is exhausted
  • The list is equal to a total number of seats available for admission in B.V.Sc. & A.H. course under 15% All India Quota in different participating colleges.
  • VCI prepares the merit list for 15% All India Quota Seats.
  • The ‘waiting list’ is equal to ‘Six Times’ the number of aspirants in the merit list.

Merit List for State Quota Seats

  • The rules and reservation policies are eligible for the relaxed state.
  • State counseling authorities will prepare their own ranking based on All India/State wise merit list of AIPVT 2018.
  • VCI is also responsible for preparing State Merit Lists on the basis of State Code of Eligibility and Domicile State filled by the aspirants in the application form.
  • Counseling for State Quota seats is managed by state counseling authorities.

Tie Breaker:

In case two or more students obtain similar marks, the following said tiebreaker is applied to obtain their rank:

  • Further, if still, the tie exists, the participant having less number of questions that are attempted wrong will be preferred for the merit.
  • In the final mechanism, participant older in age will be given preference.
  • The marks obtained by the participant in Biology will be given more preference.
  • If still, the tie doesn’t break, the participant who scores more marks in Chemistry will be given preference in the merit.

Cut off of AIPVT 2018

AIPVT Cut off marks are the at least marks to be secured by an aspirant in order to shortlisted for further procedures. VCI is responsible for releasing the cutoff score along with the result.

Aspirants who fail to secure the at least qualifying marks are not going to be considered while preparing the final merit list for AIPVT 2018 Counseling.

Determination of cut off depends on different factors some of which are listed below:

  • Difficulty level
  • Availability of the seats
  • Earlier year cut-off
  • Number of students appearing in the exam

Counseling of AIPVT 2018

AIPVT 2018 counseling is organizeed for admission to B.V.Sc.& A.H. VCI is responsible for organizing counseling for All India Quota seats. degree course under 15% All India Quota Seats. The first two rounds of counseling will be online whereas the third round would be the final round which is an individual interview by the respective colleges.

The eligibility criteria, as well as all the other documents of the students, shall be verified by the allotted College at the time of reporting or admission.   

Seat allotment is based on aspirant’s rank, choice, availability, etc. degree course shall be eligible to all the Veterinary Colleges in India except the state of Jammu & Kashmir State. The selection of aspirants for 15% All India seat for admission to B.V.Sc.& A.H.
