AIIMS PG Result 2018

AIIMS organizes the entrance examination twice in a year i.e. in the month of January and July. The entrance exam result will be released via online method only.

  • Result for January session will be released in the month of November 2018.

 AIIMS Post Graduate Result for MD/MS/MCh(6yrs)/DM(6yrs) courses is released.

  • AIIMS PG will be held in November 2018 (Tentative)
  • All the shortlisted aspirants will be called for counseling and seats will be situated according to their ranks in the merit list.
  • According to the student’s marks, the AIIMS declares the rank wise and roll number wise two merit lists.
  • Students can easily check the result from the official website of AIIMS by entering the login details like aspirant’s ID, Password and Captcha.

After completing AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), students can get admission in different postgraduate courses such as MD/ MDS/ MS/ DM/ M.CH Programme.


Dates for AIIMS Post Graduate 2018 Result

According to the students result they can get admission to the particular course. Students will be shortlisted according to their rank in the merit list. The entrance examination is organizeed twice in a year.

How to Check Result of AIIMS Post Graduate 2018?

The entrance examination result can be easily checked by visiting the official university website of AIIMS. The notification regarding result will be published on the University official website. On the other hand, July session result will be released in the second week of May 2018. The result will not be sent via post or courier. AIIMS Post Graduate 2018 Result for January session will be published on November 18, 2017.

Students can download the result by following steps:

  • Students will be redirected to another page
  • Click on the result button
  • After filling the details, click on the Login button
  • Visit the official website of AIIMS
  • Aspirants have to enter their Aspirant ID, Password and Captcha
  • Search for the result option of AIIMS Post Graduate 2018

After clicking on the button, the result will be displayed on the screen. Students are advised to download the result and take the printout of it for their future use.

Details on Score Card 2018

The scorecard is uploaded to the AIIMS official website. Participants have to take the printout of the scorecard for their future use. In the case of any error establish on the scorecard, students have to immediately tell the officials of the organizing board. Students have to check the details on the scorecard cautiously before downloading it. Aspirants have to carry all the original documents along with the AIIMS Post Graduate 2018 scorecard to get the seat in the institution.

Merit List of AIIMS Post Graduate 2018

AIIMS, New Delhi is responsible for publishing the merit list on its official website. A merit list will be prepared according to the marks secured by the aspirant in the entrance exam. AIIMS separately prepares the two types of merit list i.e. overall rank wise and roll number wise. Students having their name in the merit list will be called for counseling.

Following is the explanation of both types of merit list:

  • Roll Number Wise Merit List: AIIMS has also announced the roll number wise merit list which contains the name of the aspirants, roll number, and aspirant’s secured total percentile.
  • Overall Merit List: The overall merit list contains the name of the aspirant, overall rank and secured total percentile of the aspirant.

The merit list will be prepared based on the following criteria:

  • The aspirants who have scored higher aggregate marks in the Post Graduate examination will rank higher than the aspirants who scored lower aggregate marks in the Post Graduate examination
  • If there is still a tie after comparison of Post Graduate examination marks, then the students who are senior in age will be ranked higher than the student who is junior in age

Cut Off of AIIMS Post Graduate 2018

Cut-off marks are the at least marks that are needed by the aspirant to appear in the merit list and shortlisted for counseling. The cut-off marks will be decided by the examination authority of AIIMS, New Delhi. Various categories have various cut-off scores.

The cut-off will depend on different factors which are as below:

  • Difficulty level of the paper
  • Total number of aspirants appears for the exam
  • Marking scheme
  • Number of seats available

Counseling of AIIMS Post Graduate 2018

AIIMS Post Graduate 2018 Counseling will be held in 3 rounds including the open counseling. All the shortlisted aspirants will be called for counseling according to their rank in the merit list. Student’s final admission will be based on their performance during the exam.

Counseling Procedure

  • Secondly, the reserved category aspirants will be called for counseling to fill the seats
  • Firstly, students will be called for counseling procedure based on their ranks in the merit list
  • Students must be physically current at the time of counseling. They will be situated seats based on their rank and order of preference.

The counseling session will be organizeed separately for both the January and July exam sessions. On the counseling day, aspirants have to bring one photocopy of their registration slip and all the documents along with the other original documents.
