AIIMS MBBS 2018 Result has been declared on the official website. Once the AIIMS Result is out, aspirants can proceed to the AIIMS MBBS Counseling process. Aspirants can check their roll numbers in the list offered. The competent authority has announced a rank list of aspirants on the official website. There, they will be allotted in accordance to their AIIMS MBBS Rank.
The AIIMS Result, Rank List, and Merit List can be downloaded from the official website of AIIMS i.e. https://www.aiimsexams.org/. The result of the AIIMS MBBS 2018 will be based the percentile scores of total raw scores. Aspirants must note that requests for re-evaluation/ re-checking will not be entertained.

The result will be declared on the official website www.aiimsexams.org. AIIMS MBBS 2018 organizing body will display both rank wise and roll number wise results secured by the aspirants. The results will be put up in a PDF pattern that will have the aspirant’s name, rank and other details. The personal result can be downloaded by following these few easy steps: The results of only those aspirants who have qualified the exam will be displayed. The exam authority will not put up the results of unsuccessful aspirants.
A merit list will be published online by the AIIMS MBBS, New Delhi authority. There are four merit lists that are prepared are as follows: The Percentile scores for the Total Marks for both shifts as mentioned above would be merged and arranged so as to derive an overall Merit List / Ranking.
In case of a tie (identical Total Percentile), the order of deciding higher rank/merit would be: Percentile in Biology, Percentile in Chemistry, Percentile in Physics, Percentile in General Knowledge, the elder by age. The overall ranking is based on the percentile scores of the total raw scores. The mode applied for breaking ties are:

The normalization of the scores is necessary because there will be two shifts of the entrance exam. The marks obtained by the aspirants are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0. The normalization of the score is needed for the determination of the merit or ranking to be used during the Counselling for the allocation of seats. The normalization process which is applied is based on percentiles, which is a score based on the relative performance of the all the aspirants appearing for the exam.
The percentile score indicates the percentage of aspirants who have scores equal to or below that particular percentile. The percentile score is calculated to 7 decimal places to avoid any kind of tie and bunching effect.

The cutoff score for AIIMS MBBS 2018 will be as decided by the governing body of AIIMS MBBS, New Delhi. There are different factors responsible for deciding the cut-off score. The cut-off is the at least score need by the aspirants to appear in the merit list and get short-listed for AIIMS counseling rounds of participating institutions. It comprises the number of aspirants that appear for the exam, difficulty level of exam question paper, marking scheme, the number of seats available in the institution category wise as also the cut-off marks for the earlier academic year.

Since the final score is delivered in terms of percentile score, the normalization of the score will be taken into consideration and then the scores according to the above criterion will be taken as the cut-off score.
AIIMS MBBS Counseling will be organized at AIIMS, New Delhi after the declaration of the result. The counseling procedure is set to start from the 1st week of July 2018. It is compulsory for candidates to attend the counseling at the allotted date and time. No request for authorized representative by the candidate will be accepted. If the aspirant is not current on the specified day, his candidature will be canceled. An open counseling session will be held if there are any vacant seats after all the three rounds. A call letter for qualified aspirants will be allocated by AIIMS MBBS which should be carried to the counseling. The 2nd and 3rd counseling session will be held in the 1st week of August and September 2018 respectively.
