About College

The foundation of Tirhut College of Agriculture was laid way back on 18th August 1960, by Late Dr. Srikrishna Singh, the first Chief Minister of the State of Bihar. TcA was established with a vision to cover the fertile land of north Bihar with granary. It aims at educating the young generation about the improved methods of production, farming, harvesting crop technologies and techniques to tackle the problems persistently arising in the field of agriculture. Self employment abilities are inculcated in the students through Nursery Management Programmes and courses relating to floriculture, plant health clinic, mushroom cultivation, etc. TcA regularly conducts inter - collegiate competitions, so as to provide exposure to the students and motivate them to strive for the best.
