About College
Thadomal Shahani Engineering College is one of the oldest engineering colleges in the state which was established in the year 1983. The college is affiliated to the University of Mumbai and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra. The college offers Bachelor and Master Degree Programmes in the field of Engineering and Research Programme in Information Technology
- The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and graded as an ‘A’ grade educational institution
- In 2013, the institute launched a pilot project called “Vision 2020" to identify and implement measures establishing TSEC as one of the top twenty research-led engineering institutes of India and among the leading thirty technical institutes in Asia by 2020
- TSEC is founded by the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board

Extra-Curricular:
- TSEC Students' Council- It organizes various cultural activities. Trifle is one of the largest engineering cultural festivals held in Mumbai, which the TSEC Students' Council hosts every academic year. The auditions for National-level award winning Street Play, Fashion Show and Dance Team are held by Students' council
- Sports Committee- It organizes various indoor and outdoor activities like football, cricket, basketball badminton, throw ball, carom, chess etc. The students have represented the college in the National Team of Badminton, Swimming and Rifle Shooting. Since 1995, TSEC has been hosting the “Inter-Engineering Football tournament” which presents Rotating Trophies to Winner and Runner-up teams
- NSS- NSS‘s volunteers participate in activities like Blood Donation Drive and Bandra Station Project
- IIChE- It is the chemical technical society and conducts seminars, research paper presentation, and industrial visits with a vision of integrating textbook learning with industrial knowledge

Library-
The college has spacious and well-equipped library with 30,000 books which cover more than 8ooo titles. Library subscribes to 41 National Journals & 14 National Magazines along with 6 Online Databases.
Seminar Hall-
There are 2 seminar halls and each has a capacity of 125 students.
Festivals:
- Trifles- It is the national-level, inter-collegiate festival of TSEC. More than 80 colleges participate in Trifles. Various cultural events like group dance performances, elocution, singing competitions, fashion shows, stunt shows etc. are organised
- iTantra- It is the national-level, inter-collegiate festival organized by the information technology department. The festival showcases a mix of cultural and technical events
- Carma- It is the premier inter-collegiate festival of The Management Society - TSEC. The festival is the first inter-collegiate festival held in TSEC every academic year and comprises a variety of events such as seminars, debates, quizzes, management games and fun events
- Lakshya- It is the intra-collegiate festival of The Management Society - TSEC. It is held in the even semester and consists of events conducted by the MS-TSEC Clubs
- Speaktacular- It is the national level Debate Competition of TSEC, organised by the Management Society. It is one of the biggest and best debate events in Mumbai
- Avalanche-It is the annual intra-collegiate festival of TSEC
