Saroop Rani Government College for Women is the only governmental institution in Punjab which provides quality and affordable education to girls. The mission of the college is to impart education focusing on ethical and moral values. The college also thrives to provide education which uses technology and helps the socio-economically challenged people in the society. The vision of the college is to establish itself as a choice for young women for their higher education by providing education that will empower and enlighten them. The College provides undergraduate and graduate courses in arts, commerce and science and technology. Most of the students in the college are girls from the rural settings and lower socio-economic background. Hence the college helps to empower women and make them a better citizen of the country.
