RIE, Ajmer was founded in the year 1963 and is situated at Ajmer, Rajasthan. It is a constituent unit of the National Council of Educational Research & Training (NCERT), New Delhi. It is affiliated with Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU) and is a self-financed college.
Regional Institute of Education Ajmer provides two integrated programs, viz. B.Sc. Ed. Ed., including a B.Ed. the program at the undergraduate level. For postgraduate studies, the college provides an M.Ed. program for B.Ed. graduates. and BA. The courses are recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi.

RIE Mysore provides two 4-year integrated courses, viz., B.Sc. Ed. at the undergraduate level. The institute also provides a B.Ed. program to graduates securing 50% marks and above in their last qualifying exam. & BA Ed.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the integrated courses is a pass in CBSE Senior Secondary examination/ Pre-University examination of Karnataka or an equivalent examination with 50% marks. BA Ed. the program must have studied PCMB/ CBZ at the intermediate level. aspirants need to have studied English, Regional Language, and any two subjects, viz. History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, and Sociology, at 10+2. Aspirants applying for the B.Sc. Ed.
Selection of aspirants for all Under Graduate courses provided by Regional Institute of Education, Ajmer is via a Common Entrance Exam (CEE) organized by NCERT, New Delhi and its respective counseling. At the time of admission, 60% weightage will be given to entrance exam whereas 40% weight to the qualifying exam marks.

Regional Institute of Education Ajmer provides a two-year M.Ed. the program at the Post Graduate level. The eligibility criteria of which is a B.Ed. degree with an at least aggregate of 50% marks.
BA. Ed., B.Sc. Ed., and M.Sc. Ed. degree holders are applicable to pursue the M.Ed. the program offered they have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in the last qualifying exam. Selection of aspirants for the M.Ed. a program is done via NCERT-CEE and its respective counseling.
