Maitreyi College, New Delhi was established in the year 1967. The college is a part of the University of Delhi. The college has state of art infrastructure and campus is located in lush green area of Chanakya Puri, New Delhi. The college facilitates and provides all vital amenities and modern equipments for the students and faculty. The college offers a number of graduate and post graduate courses in the field of Science, Arts and Commerce to the students. The faculty at the college is qualified and experienced in their respective field and imparts best in class education to the students.

The college has well stocked library. It has about 81506 text books, encyclopedias etc. it subscribe about 78 journals, 13 newspapers.


There are about 15 well equipped laboratories in college like computer science, zoology, chemistry, physics etc. for conducting practical’s.


The college gives certain scholarships and awards to the students. The college conducts a competitive examination each year for award of All India Scholarships of 250/- per month. SC/ ST students are provided with scholarships by the States to which they all belong. Also some of academic awards are also given to merit students.
