About College

BITS, Pilani is a deemed University under section 3 of UGC act. The campus is spread over an area of 368 acres. The college has been accredited by NAAC with A grade. The main motive of the college is to train young minds of the country so as to make them competent to move with the fast pacing world. Department of Management in BITS, Pilani was established in 1971.

• College initially offers MBA programme but in 1973 course was evolved as MMS- Master of Management Studies.
• But in 2006 due to industrial demand Course was restructured as MBA.
• The college has a very dedicated faculty with rich experience and offers MBA program besides its other undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
• The college has a technologically sound campus and promotes creative thinking among the students. The attraction of the campus is Sharada Peeth, a temple dedicated to Goddess Saraswati which is made of marble.
• The students are emphasized to develop their extra-curricular activities as well for their holistic development.
• The campus provides all the facilities of International standard.

Extracurricular activities: The students of the department not only focus on their academic excellence, but also show their interests in other activities as well and for this there are various clubs. These clubs are as follows:

Facilities:

• Hostel:There are a total of 11 boys’ hostels and 1 girls’ hostel complex and the college offers residential programs. The hostels also have facilities for games like carom, chess, volleyball grounds etc.
• Library: Library has been spread over an area of 65,000 sq. ft. It has a fully comprehensive collection of books concerning all the subjects viz. Engineering, Management, Social-sciences etc.Library has over 230000 books. Library also subscribes to 3000 journals.

Reflexionar: It is annual management magazine published under the aegis of department of management. Through this magazine students, professionals and researchers can share their views and knowledge.

Festival: 

• OASIS- It is annual cultural festival of the college which  houses various competetions. 

Ranking: Management programme of BITS Pilani was ranked in TOP 30 Best Full Time  MBA programme by Asia Week.

Scholarship: 

• Institute assistantship- Rs.16800/- per month for M.E./M.Pharm./M.Phil degree holder and Rs.12000/- for M.Sc./M.A./B.E. degree holder.
