Yenepoya University, Mangalore was founded in 2008 which is certified by NAAC with ‘A’ grade under section 3 of UGC Act 1956. The university covers different aspects of the educational arena which offer students numerous options to explore. The main focus of the university is to give reach to quality education to the students. The Yenepoya University is the first private University in the District of Dakshin Kannada. Yenepoya University is a private university was established in the year 2009. It is associated by University Grants Commission (UGC). The University runs Yenepoya Medical College whose courses are associated by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.

University provides post graduate Medical and Dental courses in its constituent colleges, namely Yenepoya Medical College and Yenepoya Dental College, these courses are listed below:

Postgraduate courses:

  • MDS

Admission to the above-mentioned programmes is via merit in the YUPGET- entrance test.

YUPGET- is “Yenepoya University PG Entrance Test” is organized for admission of Medical and Dental courses in YU medical and dental college.

Aspirants can register themselves by submitting application form of Rs. 2000/- via DD.

  • Forensic Medicine – (2 seats)
  • Pathology – (6 seats)
  • General Medicine – (8 seats)
  • Physiology – (2 seats)
  • Psychiatry – (3 seats)
  • Biochemistry – (2 seats)
  • Microbiology – (2 seats)
  • Pulmonary Medicine
  • Community Medicine – (4 seats)
  • Pharmacology – (2 seats)

The courses mentioned above have the following eligibility criteria:


  • Aspirants must have finished their internship.
  • Aspirants must possess a degree in MBBS/BDS from a recognized university.

  • Oral Pathology – (6 seats)
  • Conservative Dentistry – (8 seats)
  • Oral Medicine & Radiology – (6 seats)
  • Paedodontics – (6 seats)
  • Periodontics – (6 seats)

  • Prosthodontics – (8 seats)
  • Oral Surgery – (6 seats)

The courses mentioned above have the following eligibility criteria:


  • Aspirants must have finished their internship.
  • Aspirants must possess a degree in MBBS/BDS from a recognized university.

Application Procedure


  1. Aspirants can download the application form from university website and Administrative Office of Yenepoya University.
  2. Aspirants have to submit Rs. 2000/- for application via DD in favor of “Yenepoya University” payable at Mangaluru.
  3.  Application form for admission to any particular academic course provides by the university will be available from the Office of the Registrar in person or may be downloaded from the official website of university i.e. Applications are also obtainable at the “Administrative Office of Yenepoya University”.  Aspirants should fill the form correctly and carefully.
  4. Duly filled in applications may be sent to the Registrar, Yenepoya University, University Road, Deralakatte, Mangalore-575018, along with a DD  for a certain amount in favor of Yenepoya University payable at Mangalore, towards Application and Registration Fee before the due date.
  5. Aspirants have to submit an application form along with all the necessary enclosures and Demand Draft and sent to the address given below:

  • Mark Cards of Qualifying Examinations (MBBS/BDS – First year to Final year Marks cards)
  • Attempt Certificate
  • Migration certificate (if applicable)

Selection Procedure


  • Selection of the aspirant is based on merit in the entrance examination.


  • Ragging is strictly debarred in Yenepoya institutions.
  • Hall Tickets will be sent to the aspirant’s email address.
