Yenepoya University is a university in South Karnataka which is approved by UGC and the Ministry of Human Resource. The main aim of the university is to imbibe the best health care education, in the true spirit of global learning. It offers both under-graduation and post-graduation courses in different fields of learning. It is the first private university in the district of Dakshin Kannada.

The university offers three courses in nursing branch – Basic B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing and M.Sc. Nursing. Admission to these courses is via qualifying examination and experience.

Aspirants who satisfy the eligibility can register themselves via filling the application form and by making the registration payment as asked by the university.

Eligibility Criteria for BPT and B.Sc. Nursing Courses

Bachelor of Physiotherapy [BPT]

  • The aspirant must have passed a two-year pre-university examination from a recognised university or Board or any other recognised science examination (10+2) with an at least of 40% aggregate in total in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (35% for SC/ST aspirants).
  • The aspirant should be of 17 years before December 31, 2018.

Application Procedure of BPT and B.Sc. Nursing Courses

Post Basic Bachelor of Science [P.B.B.Sc] (Nursing) & Bachelor of Physiotherapy [BPT]

  1. Aspirants can get the application form both online and offline. Application forms are available at the Office of the Registrar or can be downloaded from the official website of the university-
  2. After the application form is filled in all respects, the aspirants should pay the registration fees which can be done via Demand Draft (DD) or cash at the Office of Registrar. Registration fee is INR 200.
  3. Demand draft should be made in favor of Yenepoya University, Mangalore and should be sent along with the duly filled application form to the Admission Manager, Yenepoya University-575018.
  4. The aspirants should attach the following copies of documents along with the duly filled application form and demand draft:
  • Mark sheet and Certificates of 10th and 10+2.
  • Migration Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (for SC/ST)
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Eligibility Certificate
  • Medical fitness certificate
  • Domicile Certificate

The same original documents should be submitted to the college at the time of final admission.

Selection Procedure of BPT and B.Sc. Nursing Courses

  • After completing the registration procedure by filling the application form in all respects and making the registration fee, the university will generate a ranking list of the selected students.
  • However, the aspirants aspiring for Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing has to appear for the entrance examination organized by the state or Yenepoya University.
  • The selection is entirely based on the norms of the competent authority of the university.

Notes for BPT and B.Sc. Nursing Courses

  • Yenepoya University has adopted two nearby villages and takes care of the health services there.
  • Hostels are offered separately for men and women with a capacity of 500.
