Xavier University Bhubaneswar, also known as XUB, is a Jesuit Catholic University of India. The University provides a number of courses at Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral level.
The University provides courses in six main areas under the following six schools of University. The Xavier Institute of Business Management (XIMB), the Xavier School of Rural Management (XSRM), the Xavier School of Human Resource Management (XaHR), the Xavier School of Sustainability (XSOS), the Xavier School of Commerce (XSC), and the Xavier School of Communications (XCOMM).
Students want admission in any of the postgraduate courses provided by the University required to appear in an Entrance test as described by the University followed by an Individual Interview and a Writing Ability Test.
For admission in any of the Management programs provided by the University, students required to appear in any one of the following tests- XAT, CAT, GMAT, or X-GMT (organized by Xavier University itself).

Students required to have a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent with minimum 55% marks from a recognised University/ Institution. This is the general eligibility criteria for the following courses: MBA - BM, EMBA - BM, MBA - GLOBAL, MBA + Ph.D., MBA - HR, HR + Ph.D., MBA - RM, MBA - SM, MA - MC, Post Graduate Diploma in Film & TV production and Broadcast Journalism.
Under the Xavier School of Rural Management
Students want admission to Master of Business Administration in Urban Management and Governance (MBA - UMG) required to have a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent with minimum 60% marks from a recognised University/ Institution.
Points to remember for students want admission in Executive MBA course: Students who wish to take admission in any of the executive MBA course provided by the University with the addition of above requirement required to have minimum three years of experience in executive capacity in a reputed organization.
Aspirants want admission in Master of Business Administration in Rural Management can apply straight without a CAT/XAT/GMAT/X-GMT/NMAT score for the program if they have secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in their undergraduate program.
Students should apply for admission in XUB and for entrance test (i.e. CAT/ XAT/ GMAT) separately. The application form for the entrance tests is available on their respective official websites.
The application once submitted along with the application fees is the procedure. The application form for admission is available on the official website of XUB. All the applicable students are intimated about their Entrance test (if eligible).
The shortlisted students are informed about their Interview and WAT via an e-mail sent to their registered mail id followed by the whole selection/ admission process.
Besides registering for XAT/CAT/GMAT, students have to apply online separately to XIM, Bhubaneshwar.
Students want admission in any of the Management Postgraduate courses are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in XAT/ CAT/ GMAT/ X-GMAT. The shortlisted students are further called for a Writing Ability Test (WAT) and an Individual Interview. The e-mails are generally sent out in the month of April 2017.
The students should report to the University and pay the need fees along with the documents in order to clear their admission process successfully.The selected students are intimated about their selection via an e-mail. After analyzing all the four aspects, a final list of selected students is prepared. The WAT and individual Interview are held in Bhubaneswar, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
The final selection is done on the basis of performance in CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ X-GMT tests, Writing Ability Test, Individual Interview, and past academic records.
The University has reserved 50% of the seats for Domicile students of Orissa. Others can be provided these reserved seats only if there are any vacancies.
The judgment of providing vacant seats to other students lies with the University.
