Vikrama Simhapuri University (VSU) is a public state university, located in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. Founded in 2008, the university provides 17 postgraduate programmes, 2 integrated courses namely M.Sc., M.B.A. and 2 research courses viz. M.Phil. and Ph.D.

The university provides the following postgraduate (PG) and integrated courses to its students every year:

Aspirants can get admission to the above-mentioned postgraduate courses via VSUPGCET entrance examination and integrated courses via qualifying examination. The entrance examination for admission to post-graduate courses is organizeed by the university and is known as VSUPGCET, abbreviated as Vikrama Simhapuri University Post-Graduate Common Entrance Test.

Aspirants can register themselves to the above-mentioned courses by submitting finished applications, along with the necessary enclosures and application fee of Rs. 400/- (for open categories) and Rs. 200/- (for SC/ST category aspirants).

Master of Arts [MA] (Economics)

  • The aspirant must possess B.A. degree with economics from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the related subject. For SC/ST aspirants, pass in graduation is sufficient
  • Aspirants who have completed the qualifying examination or are due to appear for the final year annual examination are applicable to apply

Master of Arts [MA] (English)

  • Aspirants who have completed the qualifying examination or are due to appear for the final year annual examination are applicable to apply
  • The aspirant must possess any graduate degree with English in part I or part II from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the related subject. For SC/ST aspirants, pass in graduation is sufficient

Master of Arts [MA] (Telugu)

  • Aspirants who have completed the qualifying examination or are due to appear for the final year annual examination are applicable to apply
  • Aspirant must possess any graduate degree with Telugu in part I or part II or B. For SC/ST aspirants, pass in graduation is sufficient
Oriental Learning in Telugu from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the related subject. A.

  • Aspirants who have completed the qualifying examination or are due to appear for the final year annual examination are applicable to apply
  • The aspirant must possess B.Sc degree with zoology from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the group subjects. For SC/ST aspirants, pass in graduation is sufficient

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Botany)

  • Aspirants who have completed the qualifying examination or are due to appear for the final year annual examination are applicable to apply.
  • The aspirant must possess B.Sc degree with Botany and Chemistry / Biochemistry from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the group subjects. For SC/ST aspirants, pass in graduation is sufficient

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Marine Biology/ Aquatic Biology and Fisheries)

  • Aspirants who have completed the qualifying examination or are due to appear for the final year annual examination are applicable to apply.
  • The aspirant must possess B.Sc degree with anyone biology subject from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the group subjects. For SC/ST aspirants, pass in graduation is sufficient

Master of Science [M.Sc] (Microbiology)

  • Aspirants who have completed the qualifying examination or are due to appear for the final year annual examination are applicable to apply.
  • The aspirant must possess B.Sc degree in Microbiology / Chemistry and any two Biology subjects from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the group subjects. For SC/ST aspirants, pass in graduation is sufficient

    Master of Science [M.Sc] (Organic Chemistry) & Master of Science [M.Sc] (Analytical Chemistry)

    • An aspirant must possess B.Sc degree in Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry and any two science subjects from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the group subjects. The pass is sufficient for SC/ST aspirants.

    Master of Science [M.Sc] (Mathematics)

    Master of Commerce [M.Com]

    • Aspirants who have completed the qualifying examination or are due to appear for the final year annual examination are applicable to apply.
    • The aspirant must possess B.Com degree or B.A. with Accountancy, Statistics and Mathematics / Commerce / Economics /Computer Applications or B.B.A. or B.Sc. with Mathematics, Accountancy and Computer Science from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the group subjects.     Master of Social Work [MSW]

    • The aspirant must possess B.Com degree or B.A. with Accountancy, Statistics and Mathematics / Commerce / Economics /Computer Applications or B.B.A. or B.Sc. with Mathematics, Accountancy and Computer Science from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the group subjects.     Master of Education [M.Ed]

    The aspirant must possess B.Ed degree from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

    Master of Computer Applications [M.C.A]

    • Aspirants who have completed the qualifying examination or appear for the final year annual examination are applicable to apply.
    • The aspirant must possess an undergraduate degree from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the group subjects. The pass is sufficient for SC/ST aspirants.

    Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] + Master of Science [M.Sc] (Biotechnology) & Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] + Master of Science [M.Sc] (Food Technology)

    • Aspirants who have completed the qualifying examination or are due to appear for the final year annual examination are applicable to apply.
    • The aspirant must have done Intermediate (10+2) or equivalent course with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the group subjects. For SC/ST aspirants, pass in graduation is sufficient

    Human nutrition & Nutraceutical chemistry:

    Eligibility

    • Aspirants who have completed the qualifying examination or are due to appear for the final year annual examination are applicable to apply.
    • The aspirant must possess B.Sc degree with Chemistry and one Biology subject from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the group subjects. Pass is sufficient for SC/ST aspirants

    MBA/PGDM

    • The aspirant must possess an undergraduate degree from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the group subjects. For SC/ST aspirants, pass in graduation is sufficient
    • Aspirants who have completed the qualifying examination or are due to appear for the final year annual examination are applicable to apply.

    Master of Science [M.Sc] (Chemistry)

    • An aspirant must possess BA/ B.Sc degree with Chemistry from this university or any other recognised university with minimum 40% marks in the group subjects. For SC/ST aspirants, pass in graduation is sufficient

    How To Apply for VSU Postgraduate Admissions 2018

    MA, M.Com & M.Ed

    • Upon successful payment of fees, aspirant must wait for one working day and then take a printout of the finished applications using his/ her aspirant login by entering your Application No. and Date of Birth
    • The aspirant must submit finished applications, along with all the Xerox copies of certificates, either in person or by Registered post or by speed post to the following address:
    • If the aspirant wishes to pay application fee via SBI challan, he /she should take the printout of the generated E-challan and pay the need amount of money at any SBI discipline across India
    • The aspirant can apply for the Post Graduate courses via the online registration procedure available at the university website “www.vsupgcet.in”
    • A registration fee of Rs. 400/- (for general aspirants) and Rs. 200/- (for SC/ST category aspirants) can be paid via the available online payment modes (Net banking/ credit card/ debit card). Bank Charges will be eligible as per the payment option selected by the participant
    • Upon submitting their individual details via the registration link offered on the official website, a verification code will be sent to the participant’s mobile number
    • Upon successful verification, the aspirant should proceed to enter the details concerned with Academic, Study, Reservation and other important information. The fee can also be submitted offline via the SBI generated challan. After filling in all the details, a payment ref ID would be generated

    9. Fee exemption if applicable, will not be given if income certificate is not submitted.

    11. Discharge certificate and service certificate of the parent in case of a child of the armed person.
    12. Residence Certificate of parents for a stay in the state of A.P. from Tahshildar in case of aspirants, who have studied outside A.P. / carried out the private study.

    14. The VSUPGCET Office issues the Scratch Card / OTP to each applicable aspirant which should be preserved by the aspirant until the admission process is finished.


    Admission Procedure of Vikrama Simhapuri University PG Admissions 2018

    MA, M.Com & M.Ed

    • Selection of the aspirant to the above mentioned integrated courses is done on the basis of qualifying examination merit
    • Selection of the aspirant to the above mentioned Post Graduate courses is done on the basis of VSUPGCET entrance examination, organizeed by the university


    Reservation for VSU PG Admissions 2018

    • 33.33% seats are reserved for women aspirants in each category but if there is no appropriate women aspirant, then seats will be filled with men aspirants
    • If SC/ST category aspirants are not available, then left over seats will be filled by open category aspirants
    • 85% seats in each course are filled with local aspirants of SVU region, while 15% are filled with local or non-local aspirants on merit.
