Vinayaka Mission University provides B.E./B.Tech, B.Arch and M.E/M.Tech programmes for a duration of 4 years, 5 years and 2 years respectively. There is lateral entry available in B.E. and B.Tech courses after a year which makes the course period that of 2 years, while one can also pursue it for 3 ½ years as a part-time course. M.E and M.Tech programmes are for the given period of 2 years.
These courses are provideed in the two campuses of the Vinayaka Mission University, the Vinayaka Missions Kirupananda Variyar Engineering College, Salem and Aarupadai Veedu Institute of Technology, Chennai. The admissions to these programs happen via AICEE, the All India Common Entrance Examination

Eligibility Criteria
The aspirants applying for B.E. and B.Tech programmes require passing marks in 10+2 with the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. Aspirants appearing in the final exams of the qualifying examination can also apply to these programmes. Others will be applicable to all the disciplines. Aspirants with no knowledge of Mathematics in +2 will only be applicable for disciplines namely Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology.
Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science & Software Engineering)
B.Tech courses are provideed by the faculty of Engineering and Technology in the following fields:

Eligibility Criteria
In case of M.E/M.Tech programmes, a pass in the Bachelor’s program equivalent to the course applied for will be accepted. Aspirants appearing in the qualifying examination can also apply to this course.
B.Arch
For B.Arch course, passing marks in 10+2 from a recognised board/university with a at least of 50% of the aggregate marks or 10+3 year diploma in any stream recognised by the Central/State government with 50% aggregate marks of International Baccalaureate diploma after 10 years of schooling with a at least of 50% aggregate marks and with Mathematics as a mandatory subject will be need. Also, the aspirant should secure an at least percentage of 40% marks in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) that can be taken in SSA premises. Note that aspirants should have finished 17 years of age on or before the 31st December of the year of admission.

All the aspirants who have applied and fulfilled all the processes for the registration to the entrance examination will be sent hall tickets for their respective CEE before the test date.
The response sheets are evaluated through computers unless the number of applications is small.
The counseling will begin in the month of May/June 2018. (Transfer Certificates)
The tuition fees are Rs. 20000/- which will have to pay via demand drafts at the time of counseling.
The counseling letter will; be sent to the aspirants after they have secured their positions in the rank lists that will be published shortly after the commencement of the entrance exam.It is important to carry the following documents while the admission takes place:
Entrance Exams
For B.E./B.Tech courses:
The questions asked in the CEE exam are objective type. The distribution of marks are as follows:
Part 1: Physical Sciences (180 marks, 3 marks for each accurate response)
Part 2: Biology (180 marks, 3 Marks for each accurate response)
Part 3: Mathematics (180 marks, 4 marks for each accurate response)
Note: There will be no negative marking in this paper.
The aspirants will be ranked as per their performance in the CEE Exams. If the tie persists even after this lengthy procedure, the elder aspirant will be given preference. If it still exists, higher total marks (Math/Biology + Physics + Chemistry) will be taken into consideration.
In case there is a tie between two aspirants it will be resolved on the following basis:
Priority will be given to aspirants who have higher marks in the subjects Maths/Biology in the CEE. If the tie persists, higher marks in Physics will be taken into consideration. In case of a persistent tie-up, higher marks in Math/Biology in Qualifying Exam will be considered, then higher marks in Physics in Qualifying Exam will be taken into consideration after that. The aspirant is given 3 hours to clear the question paper that consists of 360 questions. ME/M.Tech
The paper is of 2 hours and consists of 300 objective type questions. If the tie-up still exists, it will be resolved by giving priority to the elder aspirant. 3 marks will be honoured for every accurate response and a negative marking of 1 will be carried out for every wrong response.
The question breakup is as follows:
Section 1: Engineering Mathematics (25 Questions)
Section 2: Basic Engineering and Science (25 Questions)
Sections 3: Qualifying Discipline(es) (50 Questions)
The aspirants will be ranked as per their performance in the CEE Exams. In case there is a tie between two aspirants, it will be resolved on the following basis:
Priority will be given to aspirants who have higher marks in CEE, if tie still persists, higher marks in section 3 will be considered and then Section 2. In case the tie still exists, a higher percentage in the qualifying examination will decide the aspirant’s rank.
