Vardhman Mahaveer Open University was founded on July 23, 1987, and was initially known as Kota Open University.

The University provides a number of courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level under different specializations giving a variety of options to the aspirants applying for the university.

VMOU B.Ed. is a distance learning two years program. This Program is only for the in-service Teachers of the State of Rajasthan.

The registration is done in online method only via the official website of the university. The last date of application form submission is March 22, 2018. The B.Ed entrance examination will be organized on May 6, 2018.

The selection is done on the basis of the entrance test which is organized by the university. Shortlisted aspirants on the basis of their performance in entrance test will be considered for admission.

VMOU B.ED. Eligibility Criteria

B.Ed

To seek admission to B.Ed program in Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, students required to fulfill the clear eligibility criteria given below:

  • There is the relaxation of 5% marks for reserved category aspirants (SC/ ST).
  • Graduation degree in Science, Art or Commerce with securing at least 50% marks or B.Tech with at least 50% marks.
  • Aspirants should be working currently as a school teacher and have finished D.El.Ed/ B.S.T.C/ JBT from a recognised institution or university.

The registration is done in online method only. Else they cannot enter the exam center.

Steps to Download Hall Ticket

  1. Go to the official website
  2. Log in with your Roll Number and Date of Birth
  3. Click on submit button
  4. Verify all the information which is mentioned on hall ticket
  5. Download the hall ticket
Admit card is a need document to sit for the exam.

It is aspirant’s responsibility to make sure that, all the information which is mentioned on the hall ticket like Name, Date of Birth, Father’s Name, Roll Number and Exam Center etc. It can be paid in online method via Net banking, Credit card, Debit card.

Steps to Apply Online:

Step 1: Visit the official website i.e. www.vmou.ac.in/.

Step 2: Click on the link “Admission”

Step 3: Register by using email id and password

Step 4: Login after the confirmation of email

Step 5: Fill the application form with all the need information

Step 6: Upload the scan copy of signature and photograph

Step 7: The image size should be less than 50K

Step 8: Verify all the filled information and click on submit button

Step 9: Pay application fee either of the available modes

Step 10: Take the print out of application form for future reference

Hall Ticket

Aspirants who have successfully submitted the application form can only download the hall ticket from the university website. must be accurate and verified with original documents.

Students have brought the hall ticket at the examination center. Participants who wish to apply need to submit the application form on the official website of the university i.e. www.vmou.ac.in/.

The last date of application form submission is May 17, 2018(Tentative). Applications received after the due date will not be accepted.

Students have to pay an application fee at the time of registration procedure.

VMOU B.ED. Selection Procedure

B.Ed

The selection procedure consists of written test. Qualified aspirants will be considered for admission procedure.

  • Students have to current all the need documents original along with photocopy at the time of document verification.
  • Participants establish appropriate for admission to B.Ed. Program in Vardhman Mahaveer Open University will be called for written test.
  • Shortlisted aspirants on the basis of their performance in written test will go for document verification procedure.

Entrance Exam Pattern and Syllabus

  • The total number of questions is 150 worth 450 marks.
  • There will be five sections of the question paper including Mental Education, Teaching Aptitude, General Knowledge, Expertise in Hindi and English language.
  • All the questions will be in MCQ pattern (Multiple Choice Questions).
  • The question paper will be available in English as well as the Hindi language.
  • For each inaccurate response, one mark will be deducted from the total.
  • One mark will be honored for every accurate response.
  • Aspirants have to attempt all the questions in the period of three hours.
  • Every question will have four alternatives for which one is right.
